I am so ready for some winter weather and RAIN! Yes, this is just a vent, I can't even open the front door the last two days without it smelling like a camp fire in my entire house. The air quality is now at an "unhealthy" level, super. Also thinking about the people losing their houses, animals, and lives, it's a terrible summer! Anyone else stuck in the middle of this?

    That sucks.     The western part of the state is under a watch for conditions being good for fires, but no fires around here at this time.

    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    Colorado was like that a few years ago.... I ended up with pneumonia from it so be careful!  We actually can't see the mountains here on the front range because of the smoke from your fires.  Not fun!  

    The place where I went to summer and winter camps when I was growing up is on the verge of being burned down in California (Hume Lake).  It's so sad.

    Wow, sorry you got so sick! It is crazy how many fires there are in the western part of the US right now. I'm staying inside for the most part, not about to go running in this, and the dog is not liking missing her daily walks. I just drove up the hill to my house and a bunch of fire trucks were along the road investigating a burn spot and I can hear the thunder, fingers crossed it brings some rain and not just lightning!

    Ugh, the whole Pacific Northwest is blanketed in smoke. H and I were in northern WA for a wedding this past weekend, and the ENTIRE four-hour drive home was the haziest I have ever seen it. It's absolutely disgusting. But the 7-day forecast calls for low 70's and rain this weekend, so at least there's that.
