Ties and Pocket Squares Matching David's Bridal Ballet

Hello! My bridesmaids are wearing dresses in David's Bridal Ballet. I am trying to find ties and pocket squares to match this color. Has anyone had luck with this and could suggest a website/store? Thanks!

  • I was about to tell you that Men's Warehouse and Jos. A Bank partner with David's Bridal on color choices, and should have a tie in the ballet color. Unfortunately, I don't see the ballet color as an option on their websites. You could ask a rep in one of those stores though, and maybe they could help.

The ballet color is beautiful btw!!

  • This website lists a few ties that would coordinate well: http://www.bows-n-ties.com/wedding-ties-ballet/

  • The ties and pocket squares so not need to match exactly.  Something in the same color range is fine.  You do realize that pocket squares are never worn with boutonnieres?

Why not? I've never heard of this.

I know that my FI will want a pocket square in his suit (he almost never wears one without). I'll want him and the other groomsmen to have boutonnieres. Is this something that most people will notice as out of place?

Well, my son-in-law violated this rule, too.  He knew it was a faux-pas, but he insisted, so I let it go.

I've been researching this on the internet, and the USA consensus seems to be that it is OK.  The European and old school sites say don't do it.

It is not the end of the world.  If you want to do this, I won't fuss.

  • Thank you @CMGragain

I'll show this to my FI, but we won't be having a black tie wedding, so I doubt he'll care. I'll leave it up to him.
