Just found this article... http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/relationships/a34529/secretly-married/

Seriously?! You're proud of yourselves for lying to your children for the sake of getting on insurance?! Lurkers, please take note and DO NOT BE THESE PEOPLE.

  • What wasn't "real" about the first wedding? Their legal wedding sounds like a sweet story to tell, a genuine moment where they stepped out on faith together. Why did they need to redo it later?

  • I also love that she started wondering about whether the marriage was a good idea while planning the PPD. Ummm honey, that ship has sailed.

  • I'm in the minority here and am not completely against PPDs in very specific circumstances...but only if the couple is HONEST with their guests about what they are attending. Seriously, gag. If they hadn't gone through with the PPD and wanted to split up, would they think that they wouldn't have to go through divorce proceedings because the first wedding wasn't "real"? Because the government might have a few things to say about that.
  • Gross!  And the comments?!  WTF.  At least one commenter called them out.
