Reception Venue without preferred caterers

hi!

My fiance and I are currently looking for a reception venue that would allow us to bring in our own caterer. We have a close family friend that owns a restaurant and we would like them to provide the food for our reception. We have found a lot of parks that we can obviously use, but I'm having trouble finding a venue that is inexpensive and allows us to bring in our own food and drinks.

any advice would be greatly appreciated!! :)

    I'd recommend looking at local organizations (VFW's, Clubs, Churches, local Museums etc).  Most of them will only require a "donation" for using their facility.  I believe the Pittsburgh Opera House also allows you to bring in your own caterer and alcohol, but you may need to double check.
