Weekly Fitness Check-In

Since the lovely @minskat30 is in a meeting all day today, I thought I'd go ahead and post this week's fitness update. How is everyone doing with October goals? Hard to believe we're almost halfway through the month!

I'm at 10 workouts for the month, so I'm halfway to my goal of 20! Woot! I'm pretty confident I'll surpass that goal, which is really exciting. Here's how last week went:

Monday - Rest day due to working late
Tuesday - 50 minutes of cardio on the elliptical
Wednesday - one hour training session in the morning, and then 50 minutes of cardio in the evening
Thursday - Unexpected rest day due to muscle fatigue from previous day's workouts
Friday - Arms + cardio 60-minute workout. Originally wanted to do legs, but they were still sore from Wednesday.
Saturday - Leg day! Plus the elliptical. Total workout was 50 minutes.
Sunday - Rest day. I intended to work out, but my body just wasn't feeling it.

This week's plan:
Today - Arms + Cardio for 50-60 minutes
Tuesday - Cardio for 50 minutes
Wednesday - Morning training session, evening cardio session
Thursday - Maybe a rest day? If not, probably leg day.
Friday - Arms + cardio
Saturday - Rest (won't have time to workout)
Sunday - Cardio probably

Basically every workout after Wednesday is up in the air. Depends on my schedule and how sore I am on Thursday. :-P

    Last week was pretty good, considering I had to change-up my routine due to DH being out of town for four days.
    Monday - CF
    Tuesday - 3 mile run
    Wednesday - rest
    Thursday - 2.5 mile run
    Friday - CF
    Saturday - rest
    Sunday - 5 mile run

    This week's plan:
    Monday - CF (already done)
    Tuesday - rest
    Wednesday - CF
    Thursday - 3 mi run
    Friday - CF
    Saturday - rest (I'll be in Richmond for the weekend)
    Sunday - 7 mi run

    That will put me at 22 for the month if I keep the same pace (5 workouts per week). I'll be happy with anything over 20!

  • I haven't been counting each one for a 20 per month goal as my goal right now is to just at least do something 3x/week since that's more than I was doing before.

    To me Sunday technically has always been the first day of the week so my order is different lol

    Last week:
    Sunday: skipped
    Monday: 30 min JM video
    Tuesday: ~3 mile walk
    Weds: skipped
    Thurs: 30 min JM video
    skipped Fri, Sat & Sun

    This week:
    Sunday: skipped
    Monday: ~3 mile walk
    the rest of the week - walking, JM video, Blogilates

    Friday: 5-6 mile walk
    Saturday: 3-4 mile walk
    Sunday: 2 mile walk


  • @cu97tiger Keep up the great work! 22 workouts this month is AWESOME! I bet you'll even surpass that goal :)

    @lavenderfields13 No worries on not aiming for a certain number of workouts per month. I usually take it week by week too. 3 times per week is awesome, and I'm so glad you've been able to keep up with it! There have been times when I'm lucky to go to the gym 2 times per week, so seriously, 3 times is still a huge accomplishment.

    @minskat30 Cardio after spin?! Girl, you are amazing!

    I haven't really been keeping track of how many workouts I've been doing, but I try to do something 5-6 days per week.

    Last week:

    Monday - 30 min. run
    Tuesday - 60 min. hot yoga class
    Wednesday - 30 min. run
    Thursday - 60 min. hot yoga class
    Friday - 60 min. hot yoga class
    Saturday - 60 min. hot yoga class
    Sunday - nothing

    This week:

    Monday - 30 min. run
    Tuesday - 60 min. hot yoga class
    Wednesday - 30 min. run
    Thursday - 60 min. hot yoga class; teach a 30-minute "audition" Zumba class at the new gym where I'm trying to get hired on.
    Friday - 60 min. hot yoga class; run if I feel like it
    Saturday - 60 min. hot yoga class; run if I feel like it
    Sunday - 90 min. hot yoga class

    I was pretty excited this weekend--a friend and I went shopping for clothes at the outlet mall, and I was able to consistently fit into a size smaller than I was when I moved here 2.5 months ago.  I haven't seen a lot of change on the scale, so it was really nice to see some sort of progress!

    Hi everyone!  I'm late, but oh well...

    Last week:
    Monday - Run: 2.4 miles, 10:01 avg pace
    Tuesday - Massage day!
    Wednesday - None, in the car.
    Thursday - 45 minutes in hotel gym... 20 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes weight machine, 5 minutes stretching
    Friday - Walking all over the Balloon Fiesta and the mountains (13K steps)
    Saturday - Rest
    Sunday - 15 minutes easy lower body, 30 mins upper body (weights)

    This week:
    Monday - Practice 5K ... avg 9:52 pace.
    Tuesday - Lower body (easy PiYo) and upper body (weights)
    Wednesday - Rest
    Thursday - 1 mile run (shooting for 10:30 pace) and walking.
    Friday - Lower body (easy PiYo) and yoga stretching
    Saturday - 5K day!!!  Will take pictures of all the dogs in costumes.
    Sunday - Not sure...  would like to start a new program after the 5K, so I'll start researching which one.
  • Last week was not good for me as far as activity goes. I'm only at 6 for the month and only 3 of those were at the gym (my company reimburses me my gym costs if I go a certain number of times in 6 months). I definitely need to step up my game. I was -0.6 last week which puts me at -5.4 over 5 weeks and 1lb away from my first goal. 

    Last week's plan and reality: 

    Monday: Total Tone class - Success!
    Tuesday: 45 minutes cardio - None
    Wednesday: 35 minutes cardio - 30DS L2
    Thursday: Rest - Cleaned the house
    Friday: Rest - None
    Saturday: Yoga - None
    Sunday: Tennis with H - None

    This week's plan: 

    Monday: Cleaned out closet for 6 hours 
    Tuesday: None ( Devils game)
    Wednesday: Abs & More Class
    Thursday: 30DS L2 
    Friday: None unless @GoldenPenguin wants to go to the gym with me! 
    Saturday: None (attending a certain someone's shower/BP!) 
    Sunday: Tennis with H
