Aruba vs Barbados

Has anyone ever been to either or both of these places that could recommend one over the other? Or have you been and were disappointed?!

Been to both. Definitely would rank Barbados over Aruba.
I would rank any of the AMERICAN VIRGIN ISLANDS above both Barb and Aruba:

I didn't like Aruba, other than the beautiful beaches. There is no local culture left. It reminded me of Cancun.

I definitely agree, to me it was like being in Florida. I prefer islands with more local culture.

Don't go to Aruba. It is all chain restaurants and knick knacks.
