Wedding Day Lipstick

I'm pretty torn on lipstick for the big day. I love lipstick, the brighter the better! I generally just wear a little bit of eyeliner and mascara and then top it off with some fabulous lipstick. I am getting married in the winter and doing my own makeup, the eyes will be very light and I will be doing false lashes with a little liner on the top, then light blush and now I'm down to the lips. I have an amazing red lipstick that I'm thinking of doing but I'm not sure if it will be too much for a wedding and I should tone it down to do a more nude tone? The dress is below if you want to get an idea and I attached a picture of me (terrible pic and hair but you get the makeup idea):

    It looks absolutely stunning on you! I love a pop of color, especially with more subdued eyes, and I think this is absolutely appropriate for your wedding and dress. You should wear what will make you feel beautiful (cause you are)!

    Thank you, you are very very sweet. I love a pop of color as well, I just wanted some opinions on if it was OK for a wedding? I like that you said to wear what will make you feel beautiful, I should just start thinking of it that way!

    Your make up looks great! The only thing I would suggest is maybe push the crease color on your eyes a little more above the crease, you look like you have hooded eyes (like I do) and I find it helps to open them up and look more dimensional in photos. 
    I LOVE the lip color, have you worn it before and know how it wears? The only downside to a bright lip over a nude is how it can more easily show off its wear, meaning you may have to apply more or just resign to take it off once it starts wearing funny.

    Great tip, thanks I actually don't have anything on my eyes except liner and mascara, might need to add something bright and neutral to them! I'm glad you like the lip color, I do wear bright shades a lot, this one in particular is stila liquid lipstick and it will stay all day through eating (unless it's really greasy) and not come off on you if you kissed me. It's fantastic! If you are ever looking for great long lasting ones try theirs, and get the primer.

    @lovemesomemonster The last time I had a Stila lipstick was in Junior High! I keep forgetting about that brand, but I remember loving it even back then!
    Well then that would explain why I couldn't see any shadow on your eyes, since you didn't have any! Ha, I don't know why I read your description and still thought there was- reading fail on my part!

    You have the right idea with keeping the eyes light (simple, nude eyeshadow with eyeliner, lashes and mascara) if you're wanting to wear bright lipstick.  Looking at the pics you posted, that lipstick colour suits you really well and will go well with the style of dress that you've chosen.  I think you should go with what you have in mind, it'll look fabulous!

    It looks pretty similar to yours TBH haha. But it's Bite lip crayon in Pomegranate. My MUA recommended it!
