Hi ladies! I need help with jewelry. Originally I was thinking I was just going to do earrings and a bracelet with my dress ( my wedding is 3 months from TODAY!). But now I am thinking....maybe I should do a statement necklace and do more simple earrings... The reason I am asking this is because of my veil. My veil was my mom's and she passed away about 5 years ago. The veil has this pearl dangly (sp?) foreheard piece that I absolutely loooove! Its so special that I get to wear it. I will be taking the veil off after the ceremony...not sure if that will matter with the statement piece. My hair will be up. Please try to imagine it without the poofy tulle on top of the veil. That will be coming off!

    I am not a big fan of statement necklaces with wedding dresses because I think it takes away from the dress. I think your first instinct was right - earrings and bracelet. How special for you to wear your Mom's veil. My daughter wore mine. Happy wedding!

    I honesty think a statement necklace would be too much. Personally I'd skip a necklace but would rock some fantastic earrings that would tie together the jewelry on the headpiece and the belt.

    I would do a trial run of both with your dress (with some inexpensive pieces) to get a feel for what you like best. It doesn't matter what we think it's all about how you feel! I think you will look stunning regardless of which option you choose. :)

    I think a statement necklace would compete with your beautiful and unique headpiece.  And that a combination of necklace, headpiece and belt would probably be too much.  Your first choice sound like it will be lovely!

    I agree with PP: no necklace needed, the dress is already beautiful with a pretty neckline.
