  Can you be a little more specific as to the areas you are considering?  What size guest list will you have?  What date(s) are you considering?  Any outdoor venue that you consider really needs to have a "Plan B" indoor option, because, Chicago + weather = unpredictable.  Are you planning for an afternoon reception?  If your ceremony and reception fall into a meal time, you will need to plan sufficient food that it will qualify as a meal.  Hor's d'oeuvres can actually cost more per person that a plated or buffet meal.

  Lightology is not a traditional venue but has a great outdoor space for small ceremonies and they will also allow cocktail receptions with certain guidelines and parameters which keeps costs low.

  
  

  Zed451 has a great outdoor space as well, their min spend might be too high, though. But they are a restaurant so you don't have to worry chair, table, place setting, linen rentals and all that and about  have a GREAT in-house planner
