Well, I was downright terrible this week.  This is not good.  I think I worked out three times this week total.  I've just been so nauseous lately so its been hard to get the inspiration to workout.

I'm hoping this week looks like this:

Monday:30-45 minutes elliptical

Tuesday: Spin for 45 minutes

Wednesday: 30-45 minutes elliptical

Thursday: 5 mile walk

Friday: Likely nothing...packing for India trip and leaving Saturday early afternoon!

Saturday: Airport/flying ALL DAY

Sunday: Airport/flying about half the day then crashing when I get to H's mom's place

Re: Monday Workout Check In

  • @minskat30 You can do this!!

My week last week was not good. I didn't exercise, but I did eat ok and I managed to avoid alcohol for the work week! And we ate kind of healthy...no white foods with the exception of whole wheat lasagna noodles with our dinner on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Otherwise everything else avoided pasta and rice. This week is looking pretty good food-wise too. Tonight I'm making tomato basil spaghetti squash and serving it with salad, then I'll make Guiness Beef Stew with deer meat instead of beef, so at least it'll be leaner. Then we'll have Black Bean and Butternut Squash Enchilada Casserole at the end of the week!

  • LAST WEEK:
    Monday: 1.5 mile run
    Tuesday: nothing
    Wednesday: massage
    Thursday: 21 Day Fix Cardio
    Friday: PiYo
    Saturday: PiYo
    Sunday: 1.65 mile run

    THIS WEEK:
Monday:  PiYo Buns probably.  Getting a flu shot after work, so I'm planning to do something with just lower body.
Tuesday: I want to do something yoga.
    Wednesday: rest day
Thursday: Something really quick and dirty!
    Friday: Run or something inside.
    Saturday: Run or something inside.
Sunday: I don't know, SOMETHING.  I need a new program.  Obviously.

  • Last week wasn't great for me, either... My food was pretty good, because I planned snacks/meals all week. I have some snacks for this week but probably need to go to the grocery store again.

    Monday - CF
    Tuesday - rest
    Wednesday - CF
Thursday - think about running, but don't
Friday - think about running, but don't
    Saturday - 10 mile run
    Sunday - rest

This week is going to be tough since I leave Thursday for a work trip. Here's what I'm thinking:
Monday - CF (holy cow everything is going to be sore tomorrow. Also, PR in my back squat!)
    Tuesday - 3 mile run
    Wednesday - CF
    Thursday - rest (and travel)
Friday - 3 mile treadmill run (boo)
    Saturday - rest
Sunday - travel, then run 6 miles when I get home

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • I did nothing active last week at all. I haven't been feeling well for a while so add that to my typical laziness and it was just not a good activity week for me.

    Hopefully:

Monday - Total tone class/Group cycle/elliptical depending on my doctor's appt.
    Tuesday - Elliptical
Wednesday - Core and More class at the gym
Thursday - 30DS in the morning

I'm away Friday - next Tuesday but H and I will be doing a ton of walking Sunday, Monday, and part of Tuesday.

  • Last week was bad on food but good on workouts. This week I'll try to be good on both.

    Last week:

    M: 5k run
T: 5k run and hour personal training
    W: Rest
    T: 5k run
    F: Rest
    S: 5k run
S: Hour hot yoga and 5x400s at the track

    This week:
    M: Hour personal training
    T: 4M run
    W: 5k run
    T: Hour personal training
    F: 1M run
    S: 400s
    S: 5k run

This schedule is pending how my body feels. I will sub in rest days as needed.

  • I've been MIA from these posts the last few weeks, but I've been doing well! I won my dietbet and lost 6.5-7 lbs. I forget exactly what my starting weight was. I made $13 profit off the dietbet! I'm also on track to meet my goal of 33 runs in 50 days.

    Last week:
    Mon/Wed/Sat/Sun - ran 2 miles
    Tues/Thurs - nothing
Fri - ran 2 miles before work and 2 miles after work!

    This week:
    Mon - nothing
I plan to run the rest of the days. I might skip Saturday or Sunday, though.
  • I've decided to sign up for Weight Watchers again. Seems like better to do it now than to wait til after the holidays.

  • I'm just going to go ahead and admit now that Monday was a big fat FAIL. No workout, a zillion calories (but at least tracked accurately in MFP!), and today isn't looking much better. WHOOPS.

  • @labro - I'm a big fan of WW!
  • @jenjen047 I like it! I lost 20 lbs last time I did it before I hit a plateau and quit trying so I'm eager to get starteda gain!

  • @helloliv - I ate fries for dinner last night and also didn't work out = FAIL.  This morning I ate eggs and worked out so I'm off to a better start than yesterday...gotta start somewhere each day.  ;)
  • @minskat30 - YOU ARE KNOCKED UP.  Give yourself a break!!  :)  I've heard a lot about the first tri eating and how much it sucks...  Maybe try to do a smoothie a day, with some fruits and veggies in it.  You're doing what you can!

Thank you @cocobellaf - I try to remind myself of this and cut myself some slack.  Its hard, when I've been so fitness focused for the last year, to not feel like going.  I NEVER thought I would say this but I miss the gym when I don't go now...the smells I can live without but the workouts are something I miss.  ;)  I love the idea of a smoothie a day though.  The salad place I was going to get dinner from does smoothies as well...I looked up their menu and there is one called the "Green Giant" with kale, apple, cucumber, lime, and wheatgrass....I'll add some ginger to that and call it my veggies and fruit for the day.  :)
  • @minskat - It's got to be tough, but it's worth it for the little bean growing inside of you right now.  If I were you, I'd stock up on smoothie supplies and let those take care of your veggies for now.  Maybe you can stomach some protein powder?  This will pass!

Absolutely worth it, couldn't agree more.  I've heard mixed things about certain protein powders during pregnancy...I hate Dr. Google and forgot to ask my doctor at my last appointment what was safe.  I think I'm going to give her (my doc) a call though and ask....I'm bringing some gluten-free carb snacks to India with me but, as bad as I feel I have it now trying to eat, I'm going to be much more limited in India with what I can buy to eat that is safe for Celiacs and edible (i.e., not too smelly) while in this phase.  It is rude if you don't eat what is offered to you in India but I'm going to let H deal with explaining it to others for me.  Protein powder would be a great supplement to my diet assuming we can get pasteurized milk (I'm sure we can if we go to a bigger town nearby but H's family still gets milk delivered from local farmers every day).  Its going to be an adventure, that's for sure.
  • @labro - That's awesome! You got this!
