Edgewater Hotel in Madison - Experiences?

Hi All!

We're looking at reception venues in Madison and considering the Edgewater hotel. However, they just renovated and I can't find any recent reviews or references except a very negative one. I have some concerns about my initial experience with a tour/meeting so looking if anyone out there has any feedback from their search or from an actual wedding as well (future or past).

    IMO - I'd say "Trust your instincts" - if you got a bad vibe it's probably for a reason (I would say this about any wedding venue or vendor!). 

    There are so many wonderful venues in/around Madison.  One thing to factor in - parking for your guests as well as the walking distance for parking to the main rooms for older guests.

    I haven't done business there, but I've heard good things from people who've spent the night at the hotel. I'm following this thread to see what others say :) best of luck!
