It's that time of year...holiday cards

Hey there and Happy Friday!  I'm curious to get your suggestions for holiday cards, photo books and calendars.  I ordered our Christmas cards from Paperless Post (they have online cards too but these were the paper ones) and may order holiday cards for my clients from the same company since I'm happy with the result.  The designs are cute and you can do a lot of customization.

In the past I've used Kodak (now Shutterfly) for photo calendars to give to family but have been disappointed with Shutterfly quality lately.  For our wedding, I believe we used Shutterfly for STDs, Wedding Paper Divas for invites and Snapfish for thank you cards.

I've heard Artifact Uprising is good but don't have any experience with it.  I'm looking for good quality photo printing as well as a decent selection of templates, etc.

  • I haven't thought about cards yet.   However, in the last 24 hours I  have bought 2 gifts for DH.

  • I used Shutterfly this year because I had like 7 discounts... so 65 cards w/ envelopes, a magnet, some address labels, and some 4x6 prints all cost $60 with free shipping.

I saw there was a Living Social deal going for a company similar to Shutterfly, it seemed like an OK deal... .maybe check on there.  I don't know anything about the company though.

  • We've used Costco the last two years. Negatives - they had a data breach last year and my credit number was stolen....but hopefully that issue is fixed now. I used them again anyway. Positives - Quality was great, cards were affordable, and my envelopes included our return address already printed on the back. I purchased 100 cards this year for $64.

  • Keep an eye out on Groupon.  I got a good deal last year on cards from Zazzle.
  • groupon and living social have had some good holiday card deals lately. There was one for Shutterfly and one for Staples that were good deals.

H uses shutterfly for the calendar he makes me and it always looks nice and has lots of customization

  • Nice, @lyndausvi !  H gets excited about socks and pajamas, so I'll take a cue from you in the coziness department.

I'm really on top of things this year.   I've even already wrapped the gifts as they came in.  I put on pair of socks in a mason jar.  DH figured out it was a jar of some sort.  He is completely stumped on what the gift is.

  • FYI I just got a really good deal on photo Christmas cards on Living Social. Through a company called Photo Affections. I think it was like $30 for 70 cards
