Help with accessories with this dress! I don't even know where to start... necklace, no necklace, earrings?

Re: help with accessories

  • I had a strapless.  I went with a nice bracelet and dangle earrings.  No necklace.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • I vote no necklace with this dress. A bracelet and some small earrings would be beautiful.

  • That's a beautiful dress!  With that sweetheart neckline, I actually vote for necklace.  I nice pendant with dangle earrings.
  • No necklace.  Go with drop earrings.  If you want a bit more bling, I'd add a bracelet.
  • I feel like people are so anti-necklace lately. If you don't wear a necklace with a strapless neckline....where DO you wear a necklace?

Anyway, if you do the necklace route definitely something simple like just a pendant/drop pearl on a chain and simple drop earrings (chandelier earrings with a necklace would definitely be over the top).

No necklace, go with more elaborate earrings like the model has on. I really love the hair accessory she has too.

  • I always go by the designer photo because they accessorize the model in a way that helps to highlight the dress.  So go with a nice pair of earrings and a glitzy hair piece and maybe a subtle bracelet.

I wear necklaces every day 24/7.   I normally switch out 2 different necklaces every few weeks/months for daily use.   When I get dressed up I will wear one of my a few statement necklaces I have.

I still didn't wear a necklace with my strapless wedding dress.  I had drop earrings, diamond bracelet and a Swarovski crystal broach on my hip where the fabric gathered.  ETA and some swarovski hair pins.

I wore a necklace with my strapless, beaded dress.  I also wore a crystal headband, bracelet, and drop earrings.

I wore it all because I wanted to.  Whether it was over the top or tacky, I don't care at all!  I love sparkles.

  • To the anti-necklace sentiment-- I wear necklaces to jazz up plainer tops. When you have a rockin' wedding dress like the one above, you don't need something like a necklace so close to the dress. Blingie earrings would be great.

When brides wear dresses that are simpler- like satin, without beading or even lace- that's when a statement necklace would look amazing.

  • Considering the detail around the neckline, I also say no necklace.

    It's beautiful!
