Drywall is going up!!!  Finishing it on Saturday.  The day before Max's party.  I'm so glad I prepped the lasagna already.  Saturday night is going to be a shitton of cleaning and I'll be chopping veggies until the last minute Sunday. 

FIL showed up last weekend with a small deepfreeze.  Today he showed up with a bunch of food for it and 2 dozen eggs. 

DH is taking tomorrow off for comp time.  Not sure if I'm happy or sad about it.  I prefer when he just gets home early instead of being in my business AAAAAALLLLL day.

    Good morning!  I got a bunch of work done eaaarly this morning and took a nap because I was super tired.  

    Now I'm sipping coffee and watching American Crime.  Supposedly this season based on a case that took place locally and takes place here. Plus Regina King and Andre 3000 are married on the show this season.  :) 

    DH and I received a cold brew coffee kit for Christmas.  We now have 4 ways to make coffee.  I love cold brew, but it's time consuming.  Pour over is my second fave way to make coffee.  

    One more week until we're on mini-vacay.  I'm so looking forward to it.

    Tonight is the first time we're trying after school swim with Wooz.  It's 5:30, so we should be done by 6:00, drive through CFA, home by 6:30.  Plenty of time for homework and baths, I think. It should be easier on her than doing riding and swim back to back on Saturdays, plus it will free up our weekends quite a bit.

    Just got a new work project...

    The cabin person had 24 hours to confirm, and now he's down to 4 hrs and 20 minutes and we haven't heard anything yet.

    The first one I tried came back less than an hour later and said sorry, it had recently been booked and she just hadn't updated the availability yet.  But we're running out of options, and I should have booked sooner.

    I have an appointment with a new gyn Tuesday.  I haven't been in 2 years because I was super lazy about finding a new one when my beloved doctor moved.  So today I have to go sign a medical release authorization so the new place can have my records.

    Yesterday I went back to the gym.  I hadn't been in 6 months.  It felt great.  Today's workout was a little more painful.  I despise waking up so early, but I really do feel so much better when I'm working out.

    The holidays really screwed up my grocery routine.  We're limping through today so I can get back on track tomorrow.  I'm sick of hearing everyone complain that we have nothing to eat.

    This morning was rough. DS was back to school so that meant me and DH actually had to get up and get going. This world is not meant for night people.

    In some sort of beautiful miracle, a meeting I was dreading (I dropped the ball on a few things and was going to have to hear that bitching at me although I deserved it) got moved to next week Tuesday so I can get my shit together before then. So I got that going for me which is nice.

    Yes, I like American Crime too. I like that the story changes from season to season. I liked last season too.

    The case totally takes place here and is based on a hazing case that happened at one of the richest school districts in the state a few years back.   The school colors of the prep school are even the same as the school where the scandal took place.

    So my reservation request officially expired on Cabin #2.  I texted DH like an hour and a half ago:  nice condo close to everything, or nice cabin that's a bit of a hike?  No answer...no answer...  I give his office phone a try.  No answer.  W/e, I figure he's in a meeting or something.  I decide with us being busy, it will be nice to be close, we can just haul the kids back when they tucker out.

    Literally, 4 minutes after I sent the booking request for Condo, DH texts back "Cabin!"  Not even "cabin," but "Cabin!"  Sigh.  Well, maybe the condo will fall through and we'll end up in the cabin anyway.
