AW: Vermont Trip

I'm super sore and cranky, so will try to keep this minimally whiny.

Sunday we went wine tasting and then beer tasting at Harpoon brewery. In the same plaza there was also dog sled racing and glass blowing. I wanted to take all the huskies home. There was one at the back of one of the sleds that was so excited to run. He kept pulling and barking like he didn't understand why they weren't moving. After we finished at Harpoon we went back to the resort, continued drinking, and played board games.

Monday we went to Killington Mountain.

Tuesday we went to Okemo.

Oh and all those drinks I was told to bring... we went through a bottle of wine, half a bottle of rum, and half a bottle of bourbon (mostly drank by my bf and myself). So I came home with 6 bottles of wine, the rest of the rum, and the rest of the bourbon.

Omg this sounds like so much fun! Minus the falling down parts....

I'm curious what stuff you got for the baby shower. Are you doing a theme?

Also, I guess I wouldn't be TOO sad about bringing home all that wine unless it's all stuff you don't care for.

@labro I got a bunch of stuff to make headbands and bows. A few wood pieces to make signs for the nursery: One is a tiara and I'm going to use the winnie the pooh quote "sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart." The other is a picket fence with a heart cut out, I'm going to put her name on that one. Also got icing food coloring so I can make the winnie the pooh cake. Her shower and nursery themes are Winnie the Pooh.

@goldenpenguin cause you reminded me when I was an hour past you! I'll watch it tonight, promise.

@speakeasy14 Omggggggggggg I love that quote! I put it on the custom water bottle labels I ordered for Callie's shower. It's SO perfect!!

Looks like you had so much fun!! I've been definitely wanting to go skiing for the past couple of years now. The last time I went was in 2012. Hopefully next year we will get some decent snow again and maybe make a trip to WV or somewhere else on the East coast.

This looks like an amazing trip! I'm sorry about the falling down bit though. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself seriously. I have zero balance skills in life so I don't know that I would have done much other than read and drink by the fire....I'm proud of you for just going for it and trying something new!

Hahaha I must've hid my crankiness well, because it really wasn't that great of a trip. Definitely least favorite. But thank you everyone!

@minskat30 I fall on flat surfaces, so it is pretty remarkable that I didn't get seriously hurt haha

I am also disappointed you had so much booze left. Did you end up going with cheapo wine? I suggest sangria!

I hate falling when I ski! And the first time I tried snowboarding it was so much of a disaster that I took snowboard off and carried it as I marched down the run and to the rental place to demand skis instead! It sounds like you really did pretty well though and didn't fall too much!

I'm sorry the trip wasn't super fun for you though
