Initially, we wanted the guys to wear a navy/blue suit with brown/tan oxfords. The groom ordered tuxedos instead of suits because there wasn't such a thing as blue suit rentals were we live. Because the guys are now wearing tuxes, they have to wear black shoes.
Will this combination match?
Bridesmaids are wearing long taupe dresses and nude heels (can't be seen) and the guys will be wearing the midnight blue tuxedo w/ vest, black shoes, and ties that are the same fabric as the taupe dress.
My concern is that the taupe and black shoes will be too big of a contrast and would look funny against the navy tuxedo.
The groom will be wearing the midnight blue tuxedo & vest, black shoes, and black tie.
