South Florida Budget Wedding Venues

Hello! Im new to the knot as I got engaged recently!!

Very excited! So, I have a budget of 10k MAX, and I don't think I even want it that high... my guest list is up in the air at the moment just because my FI needs to sit down and give me a damn list!! Yell lol Im going to just assume that we will have MAX 175 at the wedding.

So, I have been hunting, and I mean HUNTING down venues online. I have been looking for full inclusive packages. Just because I think it seems easier. I have found a lot! Especially in Miami! I have a list ( 25 to be exact) If anyone is interested I can post it up I just don't want to take up all the space in the first post.

I plan to add my own touches, and I will not be going to physically see any venues until me and the FI have a list and a date selected.  Im thinking either Feb. or June.

I am interested to know if anyone here has some suggestions on venues that have alcohol, food, flowers, music, and day of coordination and venue all in one price?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks ladies!

EDIT:

I figured Id show off my ring too!

  • Hello! Congrats on your engagement!!

I was on the same boat when I started venue hunting. I ended up going for the Big Five Club in Miami. They have all inclusive packages that you can customize and add any extras you like. I think their prices are super reasonable (my reception is $4K for 80 people, everything included, except centerpieces). If that's in your area (it's on SW 6th street and 92nd Ave), I say you should totally check them out. The staff is really easy to work with and they treat you like family!

Hope this helps, and good luck!

    </div><div>Thank you! </div><div>
</div><div>I currently live in Hollywood Beach, so really any venue is open for me! I grew up in Aventura, but this princess cannot afford Aventura! haha I dont want to go far down to Kendall area, or as up north to Boca etc. My Family and friends are very spread out from Brickell, Kendall, North Miami, and Broward too. The people who live in Broward are in South Broward so I dont want to make the drive all the way to Pompano or something, BUT IF I find something I love at a great price,  I just might!</div><div>
</div><div>The only thing that Im kind of worried about is that these "wedding in a box" or banquet halls will look... how shall I say.. cheesy! I am not overly crazy with that everything needs to be to my liking, and I am willing to do extra stuff (*DIY) so that everything can be as close to my liking as possible! </div><div>
</div><div>I will definitely check out your suggestion, and add it to my list! Im keeping my color scheme to champagne, gold, white and EMERALD green :D so I think most of the places Im looking at can do well with these colors as mose of their ball rooms seems to be in that color range. </div><div>

I decided that I will post the list that I have and then hopefully I will either get suggestions or thoughts on the venues!

I have also included some event wesites because they have packages... Im unsure if the venue cost is included in them, but  guess they are worthy of a look.

Theres some that have some awesome soft core porn music in the backround, be prepared!

    Heres the list girls:

The good thing is that Im not in love with any 1 venue, if any of you have been married or know of anyone who was married in any of the above locations it would be great to hear some info.!!

    Thanks in advance!!!

  • Congrats on your engagment! and your ring is beautiful!!

I see your following a lot of great places and just thought i'd point you towards one more address that I think will help you organize and maybe bring your list. Partyspace's Follow http://partyspace.com/southflorida/couple-tools/cfu-how-it-works) will allow you to see venues calendars and availability.  We picked our venue more than a year out barely got our day (we beat out another couple by a matter of hours for our date... I felt a bit guilty, but not guilty enough to give it up!).

So you pick the venue and the date you're looking at and then you can receive updates if a venue becomes available or if the date is booked.

    Happy Hunting and Good Luck!!!!

  • Partyspace.com is a great place to find TONS of venues in your specific area. The searches are very specific so you can find exactly what you want! They have something called follow me me, where they will notify you when venues open up or get booked. Its pretty cool. I found my florist, caterer and cigar roller all from this site as well. Its a great tool for a bride thats doing eveything on her own with no planner! They also have great reviews on vendors and venues that really helped me out. It always helps hearing someone elses opinion espeically with something as important as your wedding day.

partyspace.com is the way to go!  It was so easy for us to navigate and we wound up finding a place in our area right away!  You can look for venues and be notified if your date is available or opens up.  Check it out! I wish you love and happiness.  Beautiful ring, by the way :)

  • Lets see if you girls can help me out :(

I am on a tight budget and I have soooo manyyyy ppl to invite. lol My list is of 180 that's the max.

I want a beach wedding something simple and nice and the reception if it can be in the area even better. But I cant find something that's all inclusive. Do you girls know of anything in the area of Miami Dade and or Broward. I would highly appreciate it :))

    Thanks.

  • Hi all, I'm recently engaged...in Seattle, WA. My fiance is in Boynton Beach and I'll be moving there in July. I'm trying to look online at venues, but its hard! Any ideas for reasonably priced venues in the West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale area? Thank you!!!!! :)

    HI!

I am planning a wedding on a budget also.  I was wondering what you ultimately decided on.

    You provided great info!

    I decided on Renaissance Ballrooms.

They have to locations that are close to each other and each one is a stand alone venue. Its definitely a wedding factory, but I was completely okay with that. I am doing both my ceremony and my reception at the Ballrooms location, and am renting out the whole building on a Sunday evening.

    It includes everything.
  • Check out the Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs.
  • I'm on a budget as well and I'm getting married in the ROnald Shane Center. you get your own vendors but after doing a lot of research it was the only way to stay within my budget. Be careful with the packages.
  • I am planning on having about 80-100 people at my wedding. I just looked up the Ronald Shane Center and I love the layout. If you dont mind me asking, what was your budget?
  • I really liked the Ronald Shane Center, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you rent the space for?

That one was on my short list for my venue. What has been your experience? Is it feasible to both indoor and outdoor?
  • I'm considering the Ronald Shane Center as one of my serious options for my venue.

Were you satisfied with how everything turned out?

And do you have any vendors you would recommend that work well with them?

    Thanks!

  • I know of a few wedding venues in Miami, and even in Hialeah (yeah, I know it's hialeah, but they have inexpensive ballrooms/venues). Right now I'm helping my sister-in-law in looking for venues here (and in Dominican Republic). So far I really like Grand Salon Reception Hall, they give a good pitch about what they offer, and the place looks really nice, andddd the prices are good. I also liked Oasis Banquet Hall, my friend got married there and it was nice, and inexpensive.

    P.S. LOVE YOUR RING!!!
  • Awesome thread.

My husband (you heard me say my husband, right?) set a budget of $7k for our 125 guest wedding reception.  I respectfully stuck to the budget, although, i went over by $200 bucks.

I'm getting married in Fort Lauderdale at the Venue Fort Lauderdale. Their packages are pretty reasonable ranging from $37-50 per person.  The Venue is unique and not at all a "wedding factory".  What I love is get to utlize the entire space.  The grandstaircase in the main event space.  There is an upstairs and lower level outdoor balcony, there is a main bar, an indoor and outdoor lounge area, and the main event space which includes an overlooking balcony on each side equipped with their own bars.  Food is ah-mazing (I recently did a tasting)!!!!!!!

Love! Love! Love this place!  Here is the catch, you get water only with your meal.  To add a beverage package that includes sodas, it's $10 per person.  To add an open bar package is $20.  Now, only about 15% of our combined family drinks.  So for us, open bar, financially doesn't make sense.  They do not include your dj, photog or videog, those alone can be budget busters (these werent included in our $7k budget).  In addition, the centerpieces they provide is pretty minimal. They offer other options at a cost of approx. $25 each, but I got mines from Terra Flowers in Miami.  I'm utlizing mini candelabras (smaller version of the grand candelabras) and single crystal candlesticks.  Simple since the Venue in itself is decor enough.

    Check it out TheVenueFortLauderdale.com

  • Hello,

I'm not sure how long ago your wedding was or if you'll even see this. However I am considering this venue for my wedding in March of 2017. I like it because it doesn't appear to be cookie cutter wedding venue. I want the wedding ceremony to take place there also. My budget is 6000 for 100 people. The FOOD! has to be on point because that's what people really remember. I guess I watch 4 weddings enough to know that now. Can you please advise how did everything turn out for you. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Barbara
  • Im using the Shane Center and its $3500 for the whole space on a Saturday night. There is a $900 deposit and I believe $200 for a police officer. Its definitely reasonable. You bring in all your own vendors so it takes a lot of coordination on your part, and everything can add up quickly. Its a beautiful place though.

They give you a list of the vendors they work with frequently, and its listed on their website.

  • The Venue iin Ft. Lauderdale is great BUT for a Saturday evening wedding they want an $11,000 food and beverage committment and for an afternoon it is $5,000.
  • In Hialeah (almost Miami Lakes)- Royal Palace Ballrooms has reasonable packages that can be customized to what you need.  It's a free standing building not part of the shopping center. Contact Vaity 305-557-2050
