How many products do YOU have in the shower. If it's shared don't count it.

This brought to you by my husband's whining last night about all my STUFF.
Ha. Mine does the same thing, but when he runs out of man soap guess whose body wash he uses.
  • To be fair though, I have hair, FI does not. So there is two extra products there. I also wear make-up so I have to have a cleanser that takes that off and since I shower at night, I keep it in the shower.
  • H uses my shampoo so I didn't count that. Other than that there's only the conditioner, my body wash and whatever I use to shave my legs. Although H does sometime condition his beard, I counted the conditioner as mine.

I read the question and had to think about it. I have 3 different shampoos with matching conditioners. 2 deep conditioners, wait make that 3. 1 face wash. And about a truck full of different body washes.. B&BW is my best friend.

ETA: The shampoo and conditioners are for different things. One is for my blonde hair, one is for my purple hair and one is for when I don't want to deal with the other 2. Same with the deep conditioners: 1 is for the scalp, 1 is for moisturizing hair and 1 is for the blonde. So I consider these all to be separate products.

I have shampoo, conditioner, face scrub, shaving cream, face wash, and a body scrub. The only reason I have the scrub is because his mom thinks everyone loves b&bw. I hate it and have been using this same bottle for 2 years.

We we share a bar of soap.
  • I think I have 4 exclusive things. Shampoo and Conditioner (DH knows better than to use my Bed Head on his balding head :D), soap, and shaving cream.

It's not my products IN the shower that are a problem. It's allllll of the other ones. Lotions, hair products, multiple various face masks, treatments, etc. and basically a small suitcase full of makeup. Those are the things my DH complains about.

  • I have 8 and SO has 5.  He's never complained about it, but he wouldn't have much room to say anything if he did.

  • I have way more than I regularly use.  My mom's a hairdresser, so at any given time I have 2-5 extra shampoos or conditioners she wants to try on curly, virgin hair. Unfortunately, I usually forget in the morning and just grab whatever I see first.
  • The only thing in there that I don't share is my razor.
  • We share the shampoo, conditioner and face wash. Outside of that, I have three different bottles of body wash, a clarifying shampoo and a deep conditioner. H has a bar of soap.
  • You just made my day with your "I don't shower" option. I am giggling to myself in my office.

But yes. My H comments on how I have "so many products" but doesn't have a problem with his collection of empty bottles of his body wash in the shower. And I refuse to take them to the recycling bin for him. He's a grown up. Heck, he's been on this planet longer than I have.
  • We use separate showers but DH has 2 products (soap and shampoo) I have 7 (body wash, shaving cream, 2 conditioners, shampoo, a deep conditioner, and face wash). DH doesn't complain but he doesn't normally see my stuff... unless we're showering together in which case he's in a pretty good mood

I have a couple types of shampoo and conditioner in my shower at all times. Plus, I have DefConn's shampoo/conditioner in my shower (I keep a set in each bathroom because it's about a 50/50 split between him showering with one of us in our bathroom or giving him a bath in his).  We usually have two types of body wash, plus a bar of soap.  I have body scrub and two types of face wash (exfoliating and regular).   I use an Intuition razor and it has a holder with suction cups, so it's up on the wall.  And I keep a foot thing in there to scrape off all the calluses.

  • I'm a bit weird.  I use baking soda for shampoo (and face scrub), so I keep an empty plastic cup for it in the shower.  Then I use a spray bottle with apple cider vinegar, water and a bit of tea tree oil for conditioner.  DH has shampoo and we share a bar soap.  I occasionally use olive oil for a deep conditioner, but I keep it in the pantry.
  • This past year, until recently, my husband decided to grow a massive Viking beard. He grew it out for A YEAR. He was using more products in that thing than I use on my whole body. His bathroom was littered with beard oils, beard combs, beard balms, beard wax, and special beard shampoo. So he is never allowed to comment on my products!

  • Do duplicates of the same product count against the total?
  • 3 face wash (even though I only use 1)

    3 shampoo

    3 Conditioner

    1 body wash

    so 10 =|

I do use the shampoo and conditioners though. I usually rotate through and use a different one each day.

  • Oh boy, never really thought about it.
Two shampoos- one regular and one deep cleanse.
    One conditioner.
    Shave cream/razor.
Regular face soap and exfoliating face soap (which rotate between sink and shower depending on time of day).

DH has his own shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap. But all his shave stuff is in the medicine cabinet as he shaves over the sink, so it wouldn't be fair to compare.

Luckily we don't have arguments about "stuff" and... in another month we'll have separate bathrooms, yay!
