Wedding Planner Suggestions

Since I cannot figure out for the life of me how to send a private message, I'm just going to post here and not take over someone else's discussion.

I need a suggestion for a wedding planner.  This is some of my criteria:

They have to answer all emails and phone calls fast. 

They have to be a perfectionist.

They have to listen to my ideas and not just throw in their own cookie cutter style.

They have to understand my budget and know how to negotiate reasonable prices as far as room blocks, etc.

They have to have a group of vendors they work with who are reasonable and talented.

They have to look nice at the wedding.  I recently went to a wedding where the wedding planner looked like a hot mess.  I need someone who will fix their hair, wear makeup, and dress for a wedding.

    I too am searching for a Wedding Planner. Everything you listed below is very important to you and these are some of the questions I'd ask when you narrowed your search down to one or two planners.

    I spoke with a Planner today and she sounded marvelous on the phone. I wanted to hear the passion in her voice before I shared my ideas and thoughts with her so I asked her to tell me about her most favorite wedding she planned. 

    I wasn't able to find her company on the reviews here, but what M1ssJ said is spot on!  Check out the Wedding Wire or do a search on them and see what you come up with.

    I think keeping an open mind and listening to any planner talk for a few minutes will give you a very good idea on how they are as a person. I wouldn't start the conversation with a list of must-have's, must-do's and must-be-likes though. Just like you would get the sense of their personality, you don't want to come off as having a demanding and bratty personality either. 

    Also, ask for references!  Talk to her previous clients and ask them how she showed up and what her quality of work is.  They'll tell you before she will I think!

    I talked to her today and am meeting with her next week.  Julie, owner of Chic N Fabulous.  One thing crossed off the list.  Only 100 more things to do!
