Forgetting Something?

We are getting married June 4th (can't believe it's so close!) and I feel like I'm forgetting something. I have the dress, his outfit, cake, venue, officiant, flowers, music, etc.

Did any of you realize at the last minute you forgot something? Or any suggestions of things I may have forgotten???

Have you looked at TK's checklist? That was hugely helpful to me.

Kind of a random thing that's easy to forget- do you have utensils to cut your cake? For whatever odd reason, our venue didn't include that even though they included the cake itself, but it gave us the opportunity to get a nice set of our own. People may like having them engraved or whatever.
Are your escort cards set?  Card box? Favors? (All not expressly necessary but I don't know what your overall plans are.)

Do you have all your RSVPs, and have you confirmed with your caterer?

photo list with first names instead of title and timeline for the day?
I also carried around a tote bag with my own personal "emergency kit"-xanax, chapstick, bottled water, ibuprofin, tide pen, black pen, cell phone charger, blonde bobby pins and cash.

Have you paid your vendors / assigned someone to pay the day of?

An emergency sewing kit?  I threw one together almost as an after thought ("Well, if I don't have it, I'll probably want it") with some white thread, clear thread, gray thread (for the BM's dresses), a couple of needles and a LOAD of safety pins.  We had a major wardrobe malfunction and ended up having to sew one of my friends into her dress, and pinning two more in, so I was soo glad we had it.

I also second the Pharma kit.  I had a migraine the whole day, so I was glad to have the aspirin and caffeine pills (can't take Excedrin), as well.

This. I forgot mine that day.

This is an important one! My sisters volunteered to coordinate snacks while we were getting ready, but it did not occur to me (or H) to get snacks for the guys... They were pretty hungry after golfing all morning.

Are you supplying your own alcohol/bar supplies? The only thing we forgot for the reception were supplies for one of our cocktails (mint juleps). It was not until the bartender flagged us down right after the ceremony to ask where the mint and simple syrup was that we realized we never got those things. Oops.

Envelopes with checks for vendors and cash/a check book for tips, if applicable

If you don't have a DOC, a written schedule/info sheet (multiple copies for key people) would be nice

Gifts for your WP/family, if applicable

If there is any special direction vendors are going to need for the day-of communicate it and ensure you get confirmation they understand

Make a shopping list for honeymoon stuff (if taking immediately after wedding) so you can be fully packed before the wedding

Clothes to wear during hair/makeup and for the next day?

Deorderant. (It's what my sister forgot on her wedding day).

This is going to sound odd.  Bring a hot glue gun.  I have seen quite a few weddings where one was needed for veil repair or other little issues.

If you or your FI are leaving for the night, remember to pre-pack and bring bag with when leaving!!

We did rehearsal and my H wasn't coming back that night, so we'd pre-packed a bag with his stuff. Heading out, I had to run back into our place to grab his stuff lmao

If you have the FI, someone legally authorized to perform the marriage, a witness, and the marriage license, what else do you absolutely NEED?

I mentioned this in another "forgetting things" thread, but absolutely the bolded. I forgot pants and had to wear my pajama pants for getting ready and to the venue.

Well, at least you had pajama pants! Pictures would have been super awkward if you were just pantsless altogether.

ETA: I forgot to pack a shirt to wear while getting ready - all I had was the plaid flannel I wore the day before. So that's what I'm wearing in all my getting ready photos.

    SITB

Oh come on. You posted worrying about making your wedding unique, you don't need to humble this person that (like all of us) want the day to go as smooth as possible, get some great photos and throw a great party.

This is true. But I have spent a lot of time and a good bit of money to throw a party for my family and friends. So, I want to make sure my "vision" is perfect, ya know? It is MY day and all. (sorry, I had a hard time typing that because I can't stop laughing at myself and I can't get the sarcasm font to work)
