Vendor Costs/Reviews

We have everything booked for our Wedding! I'll be posting our vendors and costs today. After the wedding I'll come back and post reviews on each vendor! If you have any questions feel free to respond or inbox me :)

Ceremony Location: Belle Isle Conservatory $300 for 2 hours. The wedding coordinator is incredibly difficult to get in touch with and when you do get in touch with her she isn't always so pleasant. If this weren't such a great deal and we didn't absolutely love the space we probably would not have chosen this venue.

Ceremony Music: playlist made by us and played on speakers.

Officiants: trusted advisers/friends (free of charge). They are husband and wife and will be becoming ordained just for us :) they are also conducting our premarital counseling which has been amazing thus far.

DOC: family friend (free)

Reception Location: Charles H Wright Museum of African American History $3500 for 4 hours, valet parking, galleries open for guests enjoyment, and linen. We are having 100 guests but if we wanted to upgrade to 150 it would only be about $400 extra. They also provide the alcohol for the bar!

Caterer: Jackson's Five Star Catering $2500. This includes all wait staff, china, bartender, chef for the carving station, and 2 additional food stations for 110 people. Joe was very easy to work with. We told him what we wanted, and what our budget was and he worked with us to create a great menu that our guests will love.

Linen: Lyndsey's Linen. This price was included in our venue so all we have to do is choose our linen.

DJ: Uncle

Day of travel accommodations: Haven't decided yet

Makeup artist: Tylira Marie Makeup Artist in Detroit $55 per person including lashes and eyebrow razoring. She is absolutely AMAZING. I did my wedding consultation with her a couple of weeks ago and she did a great job. She's very professional and will travel to us on the day of the wedding. She will be doing makeup for my entire bridal party and my mother.

Hair Stylist: Rhonda at Hair Matters Salon in Southfield. She has been doing my hair for over 6 years now and she is amazing. She is doing hair for the majority of my bridal party.

Florist: DIY flowers from Dealers Discount for 7 bouquets, 8 boutonnieres, and 5 corsages. $100

Cake: Holiday Market in Royal Oak $450. We are getting a 1 tier rosette cake with specialty filling and 125 cupcakes of whatever flavor and filling we'd like. This price includes complete drop off and setup. We did our cake tasting there about a month or so ago and the cake was phenomenal. Great service also.

Photographer: Quinn Willoughby Photography $700 for 6 hours of coverage, two photographers, 2 8x10 images, and 2 5x7 images. Quinn and Marsha have been great to work with so far. Looking forward to shooting with them on the wedding day.

Engagement Session: My Fiance did our engagement pictures. He used to do photography so we didn't need to hire someone for this part.

Videography: We decided not to have a videographer in order to save on costs.

Save the Dates: I created our save the dates on a website called canva for free :)

Invitations: We are using vistaprint for our invites. Once ordered I'll update this post with the costs. Vistaprint is relatively affordable though so we aren't anticipating too high of a cost.

Thank you Cards: I haven't decided if I will create these also or if I will use Vistaprint. More info to come once I choose.

Bridal salon: Diane's Dream Brides in Livonia. My dress is amazing and the service is too!

Bridesmaid Dresses: I got a color swatch and gave the swatch to each of my girls. I sent them pictures of looks that I like, but outside of that I am letting them choose their own dresses. This way, the dress is in their budget and they are sure to like it :)

Tuxedos: We have not chosen groomsmen wear yet. However, I'm almost certain that when we do choose we will go to Macy's or JC Penny's and choose a suit separate collection. They always have great deals and coupons so the guys should be able to get everything they need for a reasonable price. My FI doesn't want to wear a jacket so the guys will only have to get pants, a white shirt, and a vest. We are gifting their bowties and socks to them.
