Just don't

Sorry girlfriends, you're right, you shouldn't be saying any of these things!

Re: Just don't

  • The OP shouldn't say anything, ever that begins with "seen."

  • I love how she "may let" her bridesmaid wear the shoes of her choice at night.

How very fucking generous of her!
  • love this one as well!

"To Bridesmiad: Please stop being ill and having problems you worry me that you will let me down on my big day. i have seen u once in the last 6 months (partly my fault for moving away) but i hope to god u dont let me down. it was a big gamble as having u as a braidesmaid as we had only known each other a year and i had moved away for 6 months by the time i asked u but u r the closest friend i feel and want you there please dont make me regret my decision!"

It was a HUGE gamble too!  I bet she almost lost her job and her car in the process. </sarcasmfont>

Also, this woman has 2 years until her wedding and this is what she's concerned about?! No.

And, the one about the mom loosing weight is just kind of sad.

Yes I feel really sorry for the Mum.

Also for the dad whose daughter 'wants all the pretty things since she was a little girl".  Maybe she should of got all the second jobs since she was not a little girl to pay for it!
  • Yes I have nightmares about my bridesmaids being ill and letting me down because apparently if that happens the celebrant has to tear up our marriage certificate and the venue pour all the wine down the sink.
  • Another gem:

ignore the "friends" who have something better to do on your hen night and the bridesmaid who can't make fittings, fayres, hen etc etc, if she keeps it up sack her! Lol....rise above it all, it's your day!!

God forbid these people have lives and are unable to attend fittings, fayres(??), hen etc etc.  I think the "etc etc" terrifies me the most.  What else could there be?
  • Or this one:

to certain guests..... firstly, we love you and that's why we have invited you to our big day. but its not a housewarming or a concert. people DONT leave early just because they feel like it. especially if we are paying a fortune to feed and entertain you. ITS PLAIN RUDE!!

At my SIL2B's wedding a lot of the family left early as her wedding was a Sunday. Ours is a Monday! If we've paid all that cash for you to enjoy yourself, don't be selfish an leave early.

You hear that, ungrateful guests who have been at work all day and have to work again the next day?  Don't you dare be "selfish" and go home at a reasonable hour.  Don't you know that you are obligated to "enjoy yourself" all (week)night long?

The first two times I read that one, I had no idea what the person was trying to say.  I actually had to read it out loud (as written, naturally), and DH asked, "Was that even English?"

  • I'm so glad this thread is 4 years old, so the likelihood of them being on an international wedding forum is slim to none.

Saying that it's probably prime time for those planning their PPD 'vow renewals' complete with a whole new set of Brideslaves.
