I'm a new Grandmother - again!

Daughter gave birth to new grandson, Henry, by caesarean section early this morning. 8lbs. 15 oz. I didn't sleep last night. She was hoping for a vaginal birth this time, but doctors said no. I am thrilled with the photos of the new baby!

Oh, and I found the perfect gift for the new baby. I sent them a carpet spot cleaning machine! With a three year old who is STILL resisting toilet training, a geriatric cat, and a new baby, daughter will need this!

Thank you. Baby care has changed since my day. It is now recommended that babies be tightly swaddled, like is common in eastern Europe and many other cultures. This is done for the first month. Babies are also carried around a lot so that they experience the familiar motion they experienced in the womb.
Of course, every baby is different. They have already noticed how quiet Henry is compared to Simon, who was a real screamer. They are both good parents! My daughter married a real prince! (Charming AND faithful!)
