Fitbit/other brand type recs

My freebie fitbit bit the dust.  It was the most basic one out there- one light for every 2,000 steps and a little buzz at 10,000.  I hate researching this crap, so does anyone have a recommendation?  I like the ones that have the time, but I'm not sure I need to see texts coming in.

    I had a pretty basic fitbit. I think it still had phone sync capabilities but I never enable it.

    I have the Fitbit Cahrge HR and I like it. I can see calls coming in but not texts, which I like. I can set an alarm for it to vibrate which is a nice feature. It tells me the time, my steps, calories, heart rate, stairs, and distance. And I can time a workout as well. I had a problem with my first one and Fitbit replaced it with a brand new one. I'm a fan.

    I have the charge hr, too, and minus the unsightly rash, I love it. Once it clears up, I'll paint the band with nail polish and try again. 

    I started with jawbone up24, which I would have married if I could, but after the third replacement died at day 28, it just wasn't worth it anymore. I loved everything about it but the shelf life. Maybe I'll try again in a generation or so.

    I have the garmin vivofit. It is a more basic one that looks similar to a fitbit but it shows the time, how many steps you've taken, has a bar that shows if you've been inactive for 1 hour or longer, etc. Plus you dont have to charge it each night, just runs on a battery which lasts close to 2 years. I think you can get older versions for pretty cheap. 

    They also have a garmin vivo active which is the smart watch type but I dont see the point in having one and I dont care about HR stuff either.

    I was just going to recommend a Garmin vivofit because of the battery life.

    On the Fitbit battery life; mine lasts about 5 days before I need to recharge it.

    I first had the Fitbit Charge HR and now have the Fitbit Blaze. I broke the Charge HR, and then decided to upgrade. I've been really happy with both. I use it for an alarm every morning. Battery life on the Blaze lasts me about 5 days.

    I have a Garmin Vivofit and I love it. I've had it since Christmas and have yet to change a battery.

    I love my Fitbit Flex. I'm on my second (first one bit the dust after 2 years and it was really only delaminating ... still worked) and the company shipped me the replacement free.

    I like that it is small, has alarms that I can set, charge lasts almost 7 days for me, I can set goals and it functions as a watch.

    I have a Garmin Vivoactive and it might be my favorite purchase I've ever made. The battery life is great, I like the GPS capabilities for my runs, and the HR strap is more accurate for calorie burn calculation during my workouts than the wrist-based one (if that's important to you).
