    I have a p/t job where I take pics of hotel event boards.  There was one Saturday where a big cheerleading convention was being held at the same time as a porno convention.  Especially considering most of the girls at the cheerleading conventions aren't teenaged high school cheerleaders, who are old enough to get it and just laugh, they are really little girls with their families.  Typically ages 5-9.  Just cringe-worthy.

    That bride looks slightly terrified.

    There were two weddings going on at the hotel the weekend we were at a (sci-fi/fantasy) con this year. Several of the groomsmen from one of them complimented my Batgirl costume, which was nice. Though I understand they were confused when they came across the bearded guy in drag who had managed to achieve some rather impressive cleavage.

    Random muggles can occasionally have less than flattering reactions to con-goers. Several years there have been dance or cheerleading competitors in our con hotel, which is particularly awkward when they're out late.

    What I can't figure out is why hotels wouldn't just warn whoever is second to book and offer a different weekend as an alternative. The cons I've gone to are typically scheduled (including the hotel contract) at least a year in advance, if not more.
