AW Thursday!

What do you ladies have to AW about?  Big or small we want to hear it :)

Re: AW Thursday!

  • I bought my daughters flower girl dresses on ebay last night!!! Cheap too!! They are 3 and 6, and I knew what ever I picked they would want to "play" with after the wedding, so I didnt want to spend a fortune..also they grow so fast. Here is a pic:

(the headband isnt included, and Im not sure Im going to get it)

Also, we picked a florist. Put the deposit down and did a rough draft of what we want. My boquet will have 3 dozen hot pink flowers with crystals and a few feathers, wrapped in the damask print ribbon. My maid of honor will have a gerber daisy and rose boquet with crystals and feather and then the bridesmaids will have gerber daisys. The groomsmen will also have hot pink gerber daisys.

Also picked a photobooth and got a great deal! $500 for 4 hours. Its a friend of one of my  bridesmaids.

Started my DIY card box. I need to find a cool frame for one of our engagement pictures for the top and then i'll show it off. Hmm...what else...

Oh! I heard that our shower invites are done, but I havnt seen them yet.

Yay..for all my AW! I never really had any before.

  • Shower hall is booked... And is only 2 months away!!! Tuxes are picked out. MOH and I are starting the bachelorette party planning. And, I am stuffing about 25 invitations a night... 50. Down, 100 to go... Except that when that is done, I need to stamp RSVP cards, address all the envelopes (which I an dreading), and mail them. I am thinking they need to be in the mail the beginning of March.

  • I bought my dress when we were home for Christmas in Michigan. I found it at the second place we went to, Gina's in downtown Milford. Gina is FANTASTIC and so helpful, I'm really excited to have this task accomplished.

It's a Casablanca dress, I ordered it without the rhinestone's around the bust area and we're adding removable cap sleeves for the ceremony.

I also found this on Etsy and I'm really wanting to order it for the reception. I feel like finding bridal accessories is going to be harder than finding the dress Laughing

  • We got our first rsvps back this week!  So exciting!  Only 3 no responses, but those were for people's kids.  The actually couples are coming.  :)

Also booked my hair/makeup.  Using MI Amore, she will be coming to my hotel to do my hair and makeup the morning of the wedding.  Also scheduled my trial for Feb.

Ordered the votive candles for our table centerpieces.  And ordered the kilt pins that I will be turning into boutineers.

Oh and my first fitting is on Saturday!!  Woot!

So much to AW.  Almost to the 2 month mark!  :)

Yay I finally have a big AW!!

Ordred invites last night from Wedding Paper Divas. I ended up getting 120 invites, response cards and thank you cards (plus envelopes for all of them and return address printing for the RSVPs) for $365. SO EXCITED! I think they are very cute! Here's the sample:

    front

    back

Also I bought my wedding shoes--I found cute yellow ones on clearance at DSW. They are $100 shoes marked down to $15!! Yessss

And FI and I decided (well we'll see if we end up sticking with this) on St. Lucia for our honeymoon!

And we've got our rehearsal on the books!

And I sent in our florist deposit!

    Big week for me :)

Yeah we've been stuck between St. Lucia and Antigua. We'll probably be going around 7 days.  We'll see if we end up sticking with St. Lucia..I think it will end up being more expensive. It looks goregous! I'll keep ya updated if on where we end up booking!

Your dress is beautiful and I LOVE that headpiece.  Accessories were tough for me too.   Luckily my grandmother left a necklace for me that I was able to wear. Picking a headpiece was really challenging though I knew I wanted one but couldn't find what exactly what I was looking for.

  • I actually have an AW this week!

I bought a new car on Saturday!  DH borrowed my car Friday night to run a few quick errands and I knew as soon as he took it that he was going to flip out so I started researching cars.  He came home and absolutely forbid me from driving it again and we went out Saturday morning and got a new car!

My old car I've had since I was 16.  Oompa Loompa (RIP)

My new (to me) car:  2010 Hyundai Elantra!

YAY! How exciting!  Congrats on the new car!!!! I've been  driving mine since my 17th birthday so I am currently looking at our budget and weighing the pros and cons of buying a new car.

<div>Thanks, Ally!!! I'm assuming it's normal to have some initial second thoughts shortly after purchasing but hearing that other people think it looks good always helps. I know that I loved the way I felt in the dress and I can't wait to get to try it on for my first fitting :) Your wedding pictures look amazing BTW!! It looks like you had a fantastic day!</div></div>
