What is everyone's weekend plans?
Tonight BF is having his first of two fantasy football drafts at our house tonight. I have to run a few quick errands for that, help him do some last minute quick cleaning and then take Tessie and head out. We're kicked out for the night so we are heading to my aunt's who is have a "cousin's party" for all those over 21. Me thinks this means lots of drinking!
Tomorrow we will have draft clean up and then we are bringing Tessie to my parent's for the night. BF and I are heading to the zoo for Brew at the Zoo! It's a craft beer fest! We got a hotel room for the night and plan to Uber to the zoo so we can enjoy ourselves!
Sunday we will be heading home and when we pick up Tess, we will also be taking my parent's dog Dixie for the week. My parent's are leaving Monday to head to Aruba with my Aunt and Uncle so we have the pups! Tess is going to love the extra long playdates!

I'm WFH today. H and I are taking Crindy to the vet soon to hopefully get to the bottom of this meowing at night business since we are getting super sleep deprived and we have to keep locking her in our bathroom which breaks my heart. Our latest theory is that she is not fixed/only partially fixed and is constantly in heat, which would be awful because that means the shelter we got her from lied to us, but would be an easy "fix" to get her symptoms under control (pun intended)
Tonight H and I are going out to dinner in the city (if we can find somewhere to eat... don't even get me started) and then we're seeing Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally! It was my anniversary gift to H so I hope they're good.
This weekend is pretty low key and should be nice.

Today is going to be an easy day at work bc all of the bosses are gone. We are having a potluck during lunch which should be fun. Tonight is date night but I have no idea what H and I are going to do. I might try to convince him to take me to my favorite Mexican restaurant. Because margaritas.
Tomorrow H is working in the am and helping his grandpa in the pm, so I have the house all to myself! Not gonna lie, I'm kind of excited about that. I think we are going out for dinner to celebrate MIL's b-day.
Sunday I'm hoping to make it to the pool one last time. Our community pool official closes after Labor Day weekend, which sucks. I think they should change that rule bc it stays hot in Texas at least until late October!

@beachyone15 Bossless days are the best, my boss has been out a couple days this week and I've loved it. So chill.
My weekend should be awesome, if all goes as planned. I'm leaving work around 2 today to go to the airport to fly to Orlando for an impromptu Disney weekend with my best friend! Flying back on Sunday night.
My poor friend has had shit flight luck so far though, was supposed to fly out last night but the flight got cancelled. Got rescheduled on a flight first thing this morning... also cancelled. Now has to drive to another airport an hour away because all the flights out of my town were booked solid for today.
The fun part is that our flights take off around the same time from different cities, land around the same time in Charlotte, and we will be on the same connecting flight to Orlando. Even manged to get our seats next to each other! So fingers crossed both our flights go smoothly!

@LizzyTish88 – How many cousins do you have? That’s awesome that you’re all getting together though! I don’t know my cousins super well because both of my parents have issues with their siblings. I’m super glad my aunt and a cousin are coming to my birthday getaway next month, though!

My boss (soon to be former boss) is back in the office after being out since my job announcement. I feel waaaaaaay awkward. I've definitely forgotten how to act natural.
All of my weekend plans got cancelled due to people being lame. So I don't know what I'll do! Probably start a book. Hopefully do laundry, because my outfit today is definitely not coordinated. But I'll give myself points for at least only wearing clean items!
BTW, congrats on the new job! When do you start?

So my bf's brother and his FI are on their way here now. My bf is picking them up from the airport and then the guys are all going upstate for the bachelor party. When I get home from work I'm picking up the bride and we're going to go to the local fair and binge on funnel cake.
Tomorrow is the shower. I can't wait to see how everything comes together. Since they haven't been back on the east coast since November I didn't give an end time and told all the guests to bring their bathing suits. Figured we'd just keep it casual and hang out.
Sunday will be spent cleaning until my bf gets home from the bachelor party. Depending how he is functioning will mean either just lounging around or going out on the kayaks.
Okay, I love teaching two days a week. I want to keep this rotation if the college keeps me because this is sooo civilized and going super-well to start!
Tonight is gaming apparently. I was unaware. I'm confused by life in general.
Tomorrow and Sunday H and I are going to clean the house like mad people because we have contractors coming out Monday to install a new AC and furnace. The AC crapped out this week for the last time (moment of silence for the 19-year-old unit); since the furnace is the same age, we're going to do them at the same time since furnaces never break up here when it's not -20F. I guess the house heard I had extra money and decided I didn't need it.
Otherwise we're going to rework our budgets, especially with the upcoming reduction in free time. HC is good but I think we'll be cutting back/taking a break from it, and we're going to put a couple more things on hold. Adulting sucks.
Sunday we're going out to eat with my uncles. One of my uncles has never had calamari, and even though we're in the dead center of a continent and the thought of fresh seafood is laughable, I'm willing to have calamari with him.
