We got 9 cards in the mail yesterday, which was a relief because we're still waiting for so many, but one of them just had the names written in! No indication of coming or not coming, and no stray marks that would indicate what they were considering.  FMIL is going to find out what the response is (it's her neighbors).

We also had 2 invitations returned to us as undeliverable and unable to forward.  One from my cousin (she moved and didn't tell me!) and one from FI's cousin who tends to couch surf in NYC and we don't really know if he actually has a place or not.  I'm sending another one out to my cousin, but I feel bad because it probably won't get there until Saturday and my rsvp date is Monday.

    I had that happen too... One from FI's aunt who thought all the mail would forward (it didn't), and the other from FI's cousin who probably won't make it anyway.  So annoying!

    I'm waiting on about 40-60 responses...Almost all from FI's family.  Grrr.

    That sucks that you got the returned mail so late.  We were lucky and got a returned invitation about a week after it was sent out.  We were able to get a new one back in the mail the next day (FI was way off on his friend's address).  They still got the invitation in plenty of time before the RSVP date.  Although they were local, which may have been a big help.

    Good luck with the follow-ups.  Next weekend will be when we follow up.  FI will be doing most of the calls since I have just 3 cards outstanding and FI has about 9.

    we got fi's grandfathers back and he wrote M__ Walter and above that he wrote Grandfather
    the he wrote Emily decided and selected 2 meals!!! his wife is decesed and i think thats what he was writing but forgot and wrote decided ... but now we have to figure out why he picked 2 meals! which one does he really want ?!!!
