Anybody watch Westworld yet?

I just started it.  I've been pretty excited. Since GoT is ending soon, it will be nice to have another epic TV show to watch with DH.  ;)

    SO and I watched last night and we really enjoyed it. HBO had me at "Sci Fi Western". Have you watched the movie it is based on?

    I have not.  I should check it out. 

    The orchestral Paint it Black and old-timey piano Black Hole Sun are icing on this delicious cake of a concept and cast.

    I didn't catch Black Hole Sun until after we finished watching the episode (and I was seeing what the world had to say about it). 

    Not sure why all the nudity is necessary though. Views perhaps?

    At least they're showing dicks on the show.  One of the most problematic things with HBO is that they are all about breasts being out for shits and grins, but you hardly see naked dudes.  

    I saw the articles on the former Gawker sites, but refrained from reading them until I got done.  I'm off to look at them now.  :)

    Me:  H, I taped this new HBO series show because it seemed like something you'd like.  (Explained the concept).  I know that is not normally my cup of tea, but I think it sounds interesting also.

    H:  Do you know that's an old movie?  Have you seen it?

    Me (in a joking tone):  Did you seriously just ask me if I "know" about some '60s sci-fi movie?  No, I've never heard of it or seen it.  Was it good?

    H:  It was okay.  It's extremely sexist.  Like, really bad, all women are nothing but objects.  Yul Brenner (sp?) was the star.  The movie has three android parks.  Future, medieval, and western.  But the problems start in the western park.   

    We then watched it together.  We both thought it was okay/decently good.  I have my DVR set to record any new episodes.

    @mrsconn23, I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE when popular/well known songs are redone in a different music genre.  The show did that exceptionally well and it was one of my favorite parts.
