Hello, I'd like some opinions on my first wedding planning boo-boo. My wedding is very small, we're planning on 12 people total if everybody we invite shows up. Only myself and fiance live in town, everybody else is flying in. I just signed the contract which includes accomodations for the guests for the night with the ceremony starting at 4pm. This sounded great to me until I realized CHECK-IN IS AT 3PM!! I'm worried this doesn't give our guests enough time to check-in, freshen up and get ready, especially if there are flight delays! A plane ride now a days appears to be running 400-500 bucks per person and I'd hate to have people late to our ceremony or feel forced to pay for a room the night before (at $200+/night, we simply can't afford another night of rooms for everyone, or deal with moving hotels etc). I can already sense that the wedding is going to go past our scheduled times, or that some people will miss it entirely. I could always ask the venue to amend the contract, but they really have no incentive to do so now that it's been signed and deposit paid. Anybody have ideas on how to make this flow smoothly?? Should I just eat up another night of rooms for the guests? I really hate to inconvience people. Thanks!
