Hopkinton CC, DJ and cake

Fifth Anniversary First Comment Combo Breaker

Hi girls, I am a former RI knottie.  I now live in MA and am planning a surprise 30th for hubby!  I am considering the hopkinton cc, i like them so far but looking for feedback anyone might have.  They also told me they use Craig Sutton to DJ events, any feedback on him?  I am also considering looking into JJ's Bar and Grille in Southborough becuase I would not need to book entertainment seperately, has anyone been there before?  Suggestions for cakes would be great too!

    I've been to JJ's.  it's a good size place.  I guess it depends on what type of party you are looking for.  JJ's is a sports bar and they have pool tables, so there's probably a bit more to do and it's more lively than say a CC.  So it all depends on what type of party you want to throw.  We go to JJ's when there's a game on and we are in the mood for a beer and pub food!

    I'm using DJ Works Hard (www.djworkshard.com). His prices are really good and would probably be even better for a bday party, as opposed to a wedding.  I got my wedding cake at Gerardo's in West Boylston (http://gerardositalianbakery.com/) and they are only charging me $2.75 a slice! I'm sure their prices would also be low for smaller scale parties.
