Getting dresses steamed?

The bride is having a DW. She just realized that when we arrive, all of the bridesmaid dresses will be super wrinkly and need steaming.

Where does one go to get formal dresses steamed? A dry cleaner? Anything I need to know about finding a good one? Or is it pretty straight forward stuff?

Depending on the fabric, you might be able to hang it in a bathroom after allowing hot water steam to build up.  Read the fabric label or contact the manufacturer.  Some fabric may require a dry steam versus a moist steam method.

Since it is a DW, I would check with the hotel/resort for recommendations.
  • The hotel/resort may have a contract with a local dry cleaner so that'd be a first choice option... But really, the Bride should have thought about this before choosing what she did <side-eye to Bride> especially since there are so many easy to travel fabric choices...  Best bet - bring your own steamer with you or learn to properly do so with an iron (there is a technique but you've got to be VERY careful especially with shiny fabrics involved) as most hotels have irons in the room...  Only DIY if you're super comfortable with the fabric involved though...
