Let's see, today....
We got FI's ring (finally)! He went with a gunmetal Tungsten ring.
While at the store (we went to Jared's/...go ahead and laugh), he had me look around to see if there was anything that really struck my fancy for a wedding gift from him to me. I did find a couple of earrings, and he bought a pair
:):) I won't say which ones, you will have to wait until after the wedding!
We also checked out watches for him as a gift from me; it's between that and the xbox 360 (I think it will be the xbox).
We also BOOKED A NEW PHOTOG! A HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders, you have no idea. We booked with Stephanie Glover Photography, and I LOVE HER WORK. For the price ($1300), we get 2 shooters for unlimited time, all the rights, and a DVD/CD with the pics. She shoots an average of 3000 pics, and pars that down to 1000, and that's not including her 2nd shooter.
We decided not to do an album right now, since money is tight, but most likely we will use some of the gift money from the wedding to get albums (she does the flushmount ones, which we wanted but couldn't get from our previous photog, and they are a great price from her). With it being so close to the wedding, we did away with the epics, but she does offer them. She went over everything with us, asked about different stuff we were doing, showed us a full wedding, and was just awesome to get along with and really put me at ease. She had some great ideas for shots during the ceremony (she told me she googled our church and loved it), and plans for before and after and all that. I really felt comfortable with her. She also told me that she only does a few weddings a year because 1)she has a 2yo that she wants to actually see on the weekends and 2) she wants to make sure that the weddings she does do are done right, given the proper attention to detail, etc; she doesn't want to rush my wedding because she's got another one the next week. We should have teasers on her blog within a week, and the DVD/CD within 6 weeks if not sooner.
Anyway, I highly recommend checking her out. She's not as well known as some, but I really love her work, and you can tell she does this because she wants to, not because this is her job.
