Hello ladies, we are doing everything for the wedding ourselves.  Most of the people coming to the wedding already know about it.  So, should I go ahead and send out invitations Now, or do I need to wait till a time frame.  We do not want to wait till the last minute, and we need to know how many people will be there. I look forward to hearing what others think.

    I think the standard is 6-8 weeks to send out the formal invite. For my situation most people verbally asked me, "Soooooo when's the big day?" and I talked about the wedding with them and then they were like "Oh, I'm so excited!" or "I wish I could be there." I was able to get a rough count in my head at the beginning. That being said I was originally doing a 40-45 wedding and now it's 70. Haha. I would probably just wait for the 6-8 week mark and not send it any sooner.
