DJ vs. recruiting friend?

  It’s totally fine to forgo a DJ if it’s not in the budget. Many people create a playlist and set it for the night. However if you ask someone to work your wedding then they’re not a guest any longer, they are there to work. You’re right about them feeling left out because they’ll be doing the music rather than annoying it. 
  
  If you cant find a DJ in your budget and you want more than just setting up the iPod you could look into hiring someone to tend to the iPod or hiring a college radio/DJ which may be cheaper than someone who has been doing it longer. I would definitely not hire a friend to do this.
