Time for Tuesday!

Fingers crossed no one else is typing up a Tuesday thread right now too!

Last night was good.  I had H set up the oven to be preheated when DD and I arrived home.  It was timed perfectly and I was able to get the frozen pizza in ASAP!  DD was in a great mood and fun to hang out with, we even were able to go for a walk!  H came home just in time to read her a few books.  H and I got our laundry folder and put away.  Then we changed the sheets on the bed too.  Tonight we have another siding company coming over.

6let got into the goalie camp!  This wasn’t an everyone gets in camp either  they checked references and stats. He’s going to be stoked (and they use the crew training camp!). Now I have to figure out how to keep the other kids from spending 4 hrs in a car every day for a week.

The sun is shining. I cut the grass today. Play date with the neighbor this afternoon. Tonight we check off 2 more practices and a game. I will survive this week!

v- I’m sorry to hear about Zelda:(
  • Awesome timing @OliveOilsMom

I woke up trying to remember what day it was.  I knew it wasn’t a Friday but it took a while for me to grasp it.  Yup.  ONLY Tuesday.  Ugh. i even saved my treadmill walk for tonight, I couldn’t get up.  Last night I made an awesome Guinness stew, but went to bed at like... 9?  Maybe even earlier.

I did the same thing! Weird.

Also tired today and im going to try and get a second run in tonight after work. The big race is 10 days out so I’m trying to balance running and resting.

Im also skipping cake/ice cream for my MIL’s birthday tonight. I feel really bad, H is going, but I’m behind on a bunch of things and they live 45 minutes away. It’s hard on a work night.

No.  You can just set a timer for when the oven is to turn on/off, cook time, etc.  So I had H set it to start preheating at 5:30.  We walked in about 10 minutes later and was ready to go.

I ended up used that feature this morning too!  I set the delay start for 6:30, so it could start preheating the oven for the teacher appreciation breakfast I had to heat up.  That way I didn't have to get up as soon as the alarm went off to turn the oven on.  I just went downstairs and put the quiches in the oven!

My oven will be 5 years old in Nov.  I don't think they had the wifi technology in many appliances at the time we purchased it.

  • @OliveOilsMom, good luck with the next siding quote.

    @6fsn, congrats to 6let!

@levioosa, glad you're on the mend!

I got all my loan paperwork done and sent over yesterday, by some miracle, lol.  I don't know if the seller's agent has spoken to my loan officer.  But, whatever, they have her name/number.  I'm calmer now and not as frantic.  Though work is still overwhelming and I still have so much on my personal plate, on top of that.

I had such weird sleep patterns last night.  I went to bed at 7:30, which is super early for me.  I hadn't had enough sleep from the night before and my day had been so stressful, I was just exhausted.  But then I woke up at 9:30, though still feeling tired, I was up for about 30 minutes and then went back to bed.  Woke up again at 2:30 and stayed up for an hour and went back to bed.  Technically, I got 9.5 hours of actual sleep.  But it was broken up twice for lengthy periods of time, which is not helpful!  So I still woke up tired and still feel tired, lol.

  • Way to go 6let!

Glad you’re starting to feel better, @levioosa.

I dislike nights like that, @short+sassy. Hope you’re able to get some rest tonight.

Not as many emergencies today, but I have to do my least favorite part of my job, and I’m going to have to stay late. I’m going to my Tuesday meeting come hell or high water, though. I desperately need it.

OliveOilsMom I love when weekday evenings work out like that! My H is back at work. He works 12hour shifts so the days he is off are super nice because he is home but the days he works (like today) I have to drop the girls off in the morning, pick up in the evening and cook dinner before he gets home and they can be hectic!
  • Great job, 6let!  Awesome news!
@short+sassy, i really do hate those nights.  I sometimes have to force myself to stay awake till st least 10 because I want a full night.  I’ve been there before.
@OliveOilsMom -  good feature on the oven but what if you think you’re home at 6, set it for that, and then something comes up and you’re not home at the time you thought you’d be? That part would scare me.  But good for a reminder when you’re home
@eileenrob, that’s so annoying.  It’s so hard to get people together!
@OurWildKingdom, I hope you get to your meeting tonight!
