My fiance and I just got engaged! His family is Indian & Muslim, my family is Italian & Jewish. Neither myself or my fiance are super attached to doing a cultural ceremony, but his mom wants to have a shortened (2 nights) traditional Indian ceremony for us in South Florida (we live in NYC). I am totally into doing this and she's paying for it, so I'm 100% on board. lol My family is mostly Jewish, and although they aren't putting pressure on me to have anything Jewish at my wedding (which is really cool of them), I do want some elements of my culture and family represented in this wedding too.
Anyone out there combine Jewish and Indian/Muslim elements into a wedding?
I would love to get some ideas!
I also included that the wedding will be in South Florida in case anyone has good venues, photographers, caterers etc in that area. We are just getting started with planning, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
