  You can do a vow renewal whenever you want. Doesn't have to be on a specific day or even around your anniversary.

  From your posting history, it looks like your 15 year anniversary would be in October of 2020, correct? (In 2013, you said your 10th wedding anniversary was 2 years away.)
  
  Are you waiting until 2020 to do the vow renewal? If so, it's a little early to be planning this unless you're trying to get a venue that's really hard to get.
