Hello,

We have our weddings scheduled for 8/1/2020. It is around 150 people. Not many are going to be traveling. I am unsure on what to do. Anyone getting married late July/Early August or have any other suggestions? I'm freaking out!!

    Assuming you’re in the US? Things could look a lot different (either better or worse) by August and it’s too soon to know if social distancing guidelines will be lifted or essential service orders rescinded. 

    I would talk to your venue about what your options are, but know they may be closed or focused on events that are in May/June over later summer events.

    Yes, in New York. On the border of CT, so not in NYC. Our venue says everything should be okay by than but I'm nervous. If not in August, it'll get pushed until 2021 :(

    I would wait another month.  It *could* be fine but I also feel really on the fence about how things will look in August.  I wouldn't rush to a decision unless you're forced to - and then I'd either make it super small or would postpone.

    My wedding is August 14th in Rye, NY with an estimated 130 guests and we are working on postponing now. I just can’t imagine that a group that large can gather for a wedding this year, nor do we think our older family would feel comfortable with coming. We figured the earlier we started, the better dates for next year we’d get. Best of luck to you!!!
