COVID-19 July Wedding

Hello all,

My wedding is supposed be on July 18th, and it has been postponed already once before. I am not looking to postpone it again. I want to hear from some July brides on what they are doing for their weddings. Postponing, still going forward, putting in new limitations? Really just looking for community, and ideas. I hope all the Corona Brides are hanging in there!

  • Hello all,

There are some brides on here but a lot of this board is married or formerly married women.

Has your area announced what phase they are in and what that looks like?  Is there new information regarding what phase you may be in for July 20th?  What size is your guest list?  Are they local or traveling?

IMO, so much of how you have your wedding deals with the above.

I'm in CT and we just dipped a toe in the phase 1 water.   You still can't get a haircut here.

If my H and I were engaged I think we'd either be postponing or we'd have a seriously scaled down version.  A lot would depend on the costs we incurred as well.   If we could postpone and not be out of thousands of dollars I'd consider that but if we could have a really small event and not lose money I'd lean towards that as well.

There isn't a real one size fits solution.
