Ugh, I'm home sick today.  I feel so crappy.  I didn't sleep well last night either.  I've had a headache since I got up.  No fever and no trouble breathing, though!  So I'm pretty sure I'm "normal" sick and not COVID sick.

So there is really nothing going on for me today, except hopefully a lot of rest.  But I'm not necessarily counting on sleep.  I've only gotten a few hours of sleep at night since Sun.  I've never had this happen before for so long.  Usually sleeping pills work great for me and I am able to go to sleep right away after I take them.  But then I don't stay asleep.  Yeah, I'm a worried stressball, but it's not that different from how it's been for the last few months.

Our late-night fuzzy "interior decorator" struck again.  Our bath mat was back in the hallway again this morning, lol.

  • I got floated to another location for the next two days. Not super excited about the break in routine but it is what it is. Feel better @short+sassy

  • @cupcait927, good luck today!  I know it must feel like a major adjustment to be back in the office.

  • I’m also sick today; woke up with a headache, nausea and went back to sleep. I might try and work in the afternoon if I feel better.
  • It's Wednesday.  That's about it.

I did manage to stub my right pinkie toe on DefConn's desk that remains in my office.  I think it's broken.  I've broken both my pinkie toes at least 2-3 times a piece.  I am wondering how many more times I need to break it before it's just unbreakable.

I am feeling so restless about life.  I can't parcel out what is grief and what is coming back to me after feeling like I had to put myself, as a person, on pause for months.  It probably is all of it.

Re: meds, I met with the psychiatrist in my therapist's office during my leave.  He prescribed me a low-dose medication for anxiety and I took it a couple times.  I cannot stand how it makes me feel.  I dragged my feet on taking it at all and then it made me feel so off.  I need to call and discuss it with him, but I'm not even sure I want to try anything else.  I'm a little scared off because I seriously felt like I needed to crawl out of my skin and couldn't get off the couch at the same time.   It also made me super dizzy, so I also felt I had to take it when I knew I didn't need to leave the house or do anything at all.  Ugh.

Back in the day when they had me taking Prozac for my PMDD, I dealt with some dizziness the first week, but it went away.

Hopefully it's as simple as a med change.  (((((hugs)))))
  • @VarunaTT, those shelves are awesome!  Are those real pipes and valves or just made to look that way?  It shouldn't be too bad on the security deposit, lol.  Pretty minor stuff.

  • Love the shelves! You should he fine on the deposit if you decide to take them down and patch, no?

I got the cleaning bug.  Yesterday I did the decluttering and today cleaned the bathroom and kitchen.  Taking a breather before I move onto dusting and my floors.  I’m sweaty and gross.  Does sweat = an actual workout? ‘Cus then I’ve also worked out today.

They're just made to look that way, though the pipe is some sort of real metal.  This is the first time I've seen one that actually had valves on them too, which I loved.

There's anchors in them.  The walls are those fancy plaster finish walls and I know they're probably a bitch to fix every time.  I also know that there's no storage in this place, so something's gotta give.  Can't use command hooks every time.  But I lived in another apartment in this same building and they didn't charge me much for the repairs (thought I should've just left those shelves there for the next tenant, TBH, they were needed) when I switched apartments.
  • @CharmedPam you better believe sweat = working out. Cleaning house can burn lots of calories.
  • i’m not moving too too much.  I just sweat if I do anything that requires not sitting down 😂

  • @VarunaTT Love the shelves! Is that you or K? Regardless, love the hair and what are the tatts?
  • @VarunaTT What's the script? beautiful tatts though
  • That's just what the NC stamp looks like from the comic:

Planet B How A Feminist Comic Book Found Devoted Fans Through

There's load of tattoos out there.  People have combined Capital Marvel, Wonder Woman, lots of trash polka (like K's style), etc.  The comic is on hiatus right now b/c the author is so busy, but she always had pics in the back of people's tats they sent in.  She is a white woman, and since she was writing a book about a prison planet featuring mostly PoC, black, and queer people, she filled the back of the comic with essays and products from PoC, black, and queer people, as well as publishing loads of letters from fans and critics alike.  It's really an amazing comic, I was already in love with it and introduced K, who also loves it.

I am not a tattoo person but I love K's half sleeve - it almost doesn't look like a tattoo but rather a painting or poster
  • Varuna - Those shelves are awesome!  And I think the way your wall is texturized, it would hide the patch work when you move.  In college, I put up shelves every year, which was not allowed.  I always patched them at the end of the year and never heard a peep!

Just a quick pop-in.  I have yoga in a short bit.  We had a crazy thunderstorm roll through and a huge branch from our big backyard tree fell and broke the shitty fence.  I'm actually surprised it didn't fully break the fence - it is that old!  It also missed the neighbor's shed - thankfully.  So we will just have to replace the two panels of fencing, once we remove the branch.
