I am going to start back at work temporarily while my trainer's wife is on maternity leave. I thought I was going to start Thursday but then today a lady showed up so I start Tomorrow! 😳 I am not ready, lol.

Ugh, I've been so stressed lately.

I finally was able to switch my license and registration over to NJ, so that's at least one thing off my plate. I was at the DMV forever on Friday, and then on the phone with State Farm forever yesterday.

I'm going upstate with my friends this weekend. We rented a house on Airbnb. Just 4 of us and we're all getting tested this week before we go just in case. I'm so excited to get away for a few days. Please let Friday come quick!

I'm so ready for the end of this week. I had a bombshell dropped in my lap yesterday that I am still reeling from. I can't share what it is at all, but I'm seriously considering just never leaving my apartment for anything but work again.

Also, my uterus is trying to evict itself from my body b/c it's made about no baby, and I'm like, just fucking go then!!

I was cleaning up the driveway yesterday and slipped. I landed in a snowbank, which broke my fall and I didn't seriously damage anything. I have a sore wrist and some sore muscles today.

We are having a change in leadership at work and are in transition. Hoping there will be some forward movement on some things that have hit a road block in the past. Our current manager is promoting out and they haven't named a replacement. Our Administrator also just changed. Fingers crossed.

Quiet Tuesday here. Yesterday I took a sick day. I wasn't really sick so much as allergic and tired, but I haven't taken a sick day since 2019 and that's not how that's supposed to work. So I'm calling it a mental health day and not feeling bad about it. Today I'm just catching up.

It's 65 degrees and sunny. I want to blow off the rest of my afternoon and go play outside. At the very least, I'm going to take my laptop and go work from the deck later.

OMG, this has been a day already. I swear I'm cursed when it comes to work computers. I had to go up to the office to get a new one. My other one was only a couple months old, but the IT guy said there was some corruption he saw when he went to pull my transfer information. So who knows...?

My cousin called me yesterday afternoon, because he didn't want to call my dad on vacation, to tell me his mom (dad's SIL) is in hospice and not expected to make it more than another day or two. My uncle died almost 10 years ago. We grew up spending a ton of time with this cousin and he was the closest thing we had to a brother. I had no idea she was that bad off, but it's not surprising. My aunt lived a hard life. The details of her decline are pretty heartbreaking and infuriating with how my cousin's half-siblings (her kids) have acted. I talked to my older sister and we decided dad did need to know sooner than later. She was also kind of surprised we didn't hear anything, but I pointed out that dad has always sucked at disseminating this kind of information and it's not gotten better after mom. Dad took the info all right and was going to reach out to my cousin. My aunt doesn't want any services. I reached out to my cousin's wife (whom we adore) to let her know if they need anything to let us know.

At least the day is almost half over. I'm hoping I can get back to normal after a week of fits and starts with this computer crap. At least the IT guy was super nice and helpful.

Not much going on here, its warming up and I hope that means all this snow will now go away. And let's hope it stays away!

I got DDs birthday shirt done, she saw it this morning and loved it. Whew! I have a pulled all her birthday gifts out of the various Amazon boxes we received and now I just need to wrap. H already picked up the cupcakes we will send into daycare tomorrow, so another thing off the list.

Well yesterday sucked. Sunday night FI started having some diffuse abdominal pain. I had a bad feeling about it and my mind immediately went to his final diagnosis, but it was so nonspecific that I told myself to chill out and not jump to the worst conclusion. He has IBS and frequent stomach cramps from that so I was trying to be level headed about it. Then yesterday he called me at work to say the pain had localized to his right lower quadrant and I was like fuck, there it is, the appendicitis I had a bad feeling about. He wanted to come home but I made him go to the ER where a CT confirmed the diagnosis. He had surgery last night and today he’s home recovering. I took the day off to be with him since he’s pretty freaked out by medical stuff. It puts a huge kink in our weekend plans because we were supposed to take a trip for my birthday and now I don’t know. Ugh. 2021 you are just an extension of 2020.

Back at work and all anyone is talking about is the acquisition. It doesn’t really affect my team too much yet at this point but it is pretty exciting. We’ve done acquisitions in the past but this is the first one I’ve been around for.

@charlotte989875 he’s in some pain but the pain meds are controlling it okay as long as he’s relaxing. I’m trying to convince him to take the rest of the week off work.

I am so glad that I work in US mfg and not making things like heart valves or insulin pumps that need to get to market or people die.

Just when things seem to be getting better something happens and the workday goes from standard cadence to just feeling like I'm emptying out buckets from a flooded basement.

Our state just changed vaccine guidelines and teachers will be eligible starting March 1st and DH and I will be eligible due to our age starting April 12th. It's pissed off those who are immunocompromised and essential workers and we'll see if anything changes between now and April.

Chiquito is also due to start back in school 4 out of 5 days a week starting next week and his face lit up like a Christmas tree when he found out.

I've just got minor crap from the dentist. Remember I had a double ear-infection and got antibiotics? and I was shocked that for once I didn't need to take the difulcan, because I didn't get a yeast infection?

Guess whose "ow, the corners of my mouth are angry, damn masks and this weather" owies are actually a yeast infection?
Athlete's foot ointment on my face for a while. (Pls feel free to find that funny. I told the Mr. he's getting foot kisses for a while)

I was late at getting the cookie information, AND I lost the spreadsheet from last year, so just had to re-create my cookie form. I'm not *to* late, but it irks the troop leader.

AND the kiddo wants to do her bronze project and I could do the shit FOR her in 1/3 the time it takes for me to make her do it herself. Forcing independence is hard.
But we're working on a little free library. which is only funny 'cuz if y'all remember, the kiddo already has one
