Extra Invitations?

Right now, the guest list is pretty firm at 118 invitations needed. Of course, when you order they come in increments of 125 or 150. 150 seems like way too many, but I'm worried 125 might not be enough of a cushion...? Do you think 7 extra invitations is enough? Do I take into account if a bunch get lost in the mail? This is stress city right now.

I would recommend going the 150 route.  It's too bad there's not an in between number, but calligraphers usually look for about 10% extra in case they make a mistake, plus you you probably want to keep 1 or 2 to save, and then there's always the last minute invitees...we did indeed have one guest who never got our invite and we had to send an extra.  7 is cutting it close.  Good luck!

I agree with ordering the extra.  I know it sucks that there isn't an in between #.  I was in the same boat and was glad I ordered up for various reasons.

Agree. Very happy to have extras...we invited some people last minute as well. Better to have more!

I went through the same decision process. I ended up ordering 45 extra, but that's also because we  have a substantial B list that we'll probably cycle through. My thoughts were: the charge for the extra 25 was really not much more (maybe $40-60) compared with the $200 it would have cost to place a new order if we ran out. I would have liked 20 extra, but the only ordering incremental option was in lots of 25.

Order 150. I ordered 125 and regret it. We haven't put them together yet, but we've changed the invite list a little and now we have only 7 extra invites, which makes me nervous. Ordering 25 only at this point is a big chunk of change. So... order the 150 definitely! Better to be safe than sorry.

Bummer, I was hoping to save the extra cash but you all are right. Better to be safe than sorry, I suppose! Thanks.

Can you just order extra envelopes?  I have only 7 extra invitations, but I bought 25 extra inner and outer envelopes to account for any addressing errors. My guest list is firm, so I know I wont be inviting anyone else (I don't have a B list). I went back and forth about whether or not to order the extra 25 as well, but decided I would only need extra envelopes. That cost only $17.00
