Wedding Woes

What have you been putting off buying yourself because you hope you will get it for Christmas?

I need some new winter pajamas and I have an aunt that gives me new ones every Christmas.

  • I usually only get a small gift from my parents each year. I buy myself everything I want the rest of the 364 days of the year.  Lol. Right now, I’m waiting for a coupon code/sale from hauslabs to try the foundation.

  • I need a new hand mixer (have my eye on the Kitchenaid 5-speed). I’d also like a new pair of ugg slippers or lands end has a fleece pair that would work. My mom and one of my aunts ask us a bit before Thanksgiving and I’m ready 😝
  • I am ready for a new pair of Uggs. I have a problem where when I want something, I buy it. And then there’s a ton of stuff that I want but then I forget what it is and draw a blank when trying to make a Christmas or birthday list.

  • An Apple Watch.  I carry a work phone and a personal phone, plus am in the office 3 days a week, so I want a watch to link up to my personal phone to get texts and other alerts since I leave it at my desk when I'm at the office (and end up away from my desk a lot for meetings and other collaborative stuff).

Other than that, new perfume.  I am wearing it so much more and am running out more quickly.  I have Idole, but it's a little heavy for every day use.  I need to get to Sephora to find some new options to give DH ideas.

I'm pretty boring this year.  LOL
  • I have to think about what I want.  I don't really want more "stuff".  What I'd love is a dumpster in my driveway to throw out everything we haven't used in 12 years.  It sounds terible but I'm actually loving when we get rid of things and we're starting to phase the kids from the 'little kid' toys to bigger kid ones.  We just need to make that effort.
  • Travel umbrella, face masks, compression socks, fancy sunscreen, hat clip. Basically all vacation essentials I don’t want to buy myself!

I hope you get them as a gift but, if not, I bought these compression socks earlier this year.  It was my first time using compression socks, so I don't have anything to compare it to.  But I really liked them and they worked.

My calves were red and puffy and the skin felt tight, after my cruise.  I thought it would get better when I got back home, but it didn't.  After the first day I wore them, there was a major improvement.  By day 3, my legs were totally back to normal.  They also felt energizing.

  • My mom always buys me pajamas, socks and gloves. And I actually really do need the gloves this year since I can't find my old ones. I can't even remember the last time I bought myself pajamas. And she actually does a really good job of picking them out.

Other than that, I honestly don't know.
  • Everything i have on my "wait" list is over the limits for our gift exchanges or home improvement stuff like: Rothy's loafers, new bathroom vanity, new toilets in all bathrooms, etc.  I may just ask for gift cards to home depot or lowes or menards.

I wish people wouldn't buy toys for my kids.

I would love it if the toys were on a curated list that I made only in my brain.

    We have SO MANY.

Get yourself the Rothy’s loafers! I have them and they are the best shoe.
  • I have two pairs of the pointed toe and LOVE them.

I have way too many rothy's, but never tried the loafers! The slip on sneakers are some of my favorite shoes ever and I love the pointed ones (wear them pretty much daily for work the last 4 years).

I am sad that the points no longer have structure in the toes though. I ordered one of the newer colors a few months ago and sent them back...i felt like i was sliding all over the place and you could see every outline of my toes!!!!  I was so sad.

Why do I always loose my gloves every year too? You’d think I’d have a “safe place” to put them at the end of the season so I know where they’ll be, but I don’t.

I keep my good leather gloves in my coat pockets.   It sounds silly but it's my way of knowing they'll be there and by being in my coat, my kids don't take them for dress up.
  • I've asked M for a fancy/durable phone case. My coworker suggested a site and they have good deals plus some travel mugs.

I also asked for workout gear.

    M asked for workout shoes.

Careful ... we are super exciting here lmao
