I am trying to help my friend find a venue for her wedding. She REALLY likes The Court in the Square in Seattle, but we are worried it may be a little expensive. She said she "wants something different". I am thinking she wants a rustic feel maybe. She lives in Enumclaw, so she wouldnt want to go farther then Seattle. Any ideas? Where you ladies getting hitched?

    I loved Lake wilderness lodge in Maple valley, rustic feel not too expensive.  Shady Rest B&B is very cute and in wilkeson not expensive at all but only for a 100 person guest list. Also there is tons of parks around pierce county for cheap even free!! Just have to rent all your stuff :)

    Check out Lake Union Cafe.  It has kindof a 1930's feel to it, very pretty and affordable.

    So she doesn't want a country type wedding? Because you know the road that the Yella beak is on in Enumclaw? Well its really the cross street.. if you go down there going toward Kent on that back road, on the left hand side there is a CUTE green barn! I would love to get married in a barn but FI would NEVER go for that!

    Otherwise LUC is a great idea or there are TONS of community centers. There is the DAR house or the community center in Mt. Baker.

    Georgetown Studios is neat - it's in the old Rainier Brewery (not the one Tully's is in now but the older one a little further south).

    I'm getting married at the Orting Manor. (www.ortingmanor.com). It's all outdoors and it has white tents and chandeliers. I think it's different then most venues. I wouldn't call it "rustic" but check it out. And I thought it was a pretty good price too.

    Thank you ladies for all your ideas! Keep them coming. The more options I can give her the better. She said she loves the idea of a barn or a old brick building.

    Sarah, my friend is really interested in this green you are speaking of :) Do you know what street # it is on or the name of the Barn? I was trying to find it on google maps and didnt have any luck.
