Thunderstorms again today but it's a gross 65 degrees. I'm not ready to give up sweaters yet! I'm wearing all black today in protest. 

Thanks again all of you for taking the time to listen to all my gripes recently, i feel like all i do is complain! Hope everyone is having a good day :)

    It’s finally warmish in Buffalo so my windows are open and the birds are chirping. We’re supposed to get severe storms later but I’ll worry about that later!

    Had the first Spring-like day yesterday and Chiquita realized she was over-dressed for bed last night.  We're now entering the zone of 40 degree temp swings depending on whether or not it wants to be late winter or summer right now and I want to put away the heavy winter sheets on the kids beds but know that it's a false sense of security until we have a solid few weeks that there are no frosts.

    We’ve had rain on and off the last 3 days. Today is the last day we’re in the office for a complete office reno and it’s SO bare in here it’s crazy.  I can’t wait to see what it’ll look like when we all get back. It REALLY gets me excited for my own bedroom reno in the fall.  I hope, anyway. If I can stop spending money on make up and perfume.  I need new carpet like woah.

    It's freezing rain here. Like .... really shit weather.

    But tomorrow it'll be warm? So wtf?

    Anyways .... I'm actually hoping someone decides to shut the office down but I doubt it will happen.

    Gloomy dreary weather here too.  But, it's the last day before spring break.  We're kicking off the break with Dog Man the Musical tomorrow.  Might walk the High Line before it, depending on what train we take in and how hard it's raining.  My father is recovering well, thankfully.

    We're in the path of some nastiness. I'm actually going to head home early today and work the rest of my day from the house because I don't want DefConn coming home alone in the middle of it all. I am not normally someone who worries about the weather, but this storm system has me freaked out.

    I usually work from home today, but with the new software, I figured I should probably be in-office for the next few weeks.  However, I didn't change my Wednesday alarms, so I was late, and I'm all verklempt b/c I thought it was Thursday, so my day is totally off.

    However, I am still nerding out over the new software.  But I actually need to start doing some work at some point, rather than playing with stuff.

    Otherwise, SSDD.  Tuesdays are my bad "I need to see people" day, so I usually give myself that one day/week at the bar.  However, there's really only...1 person that I actually enjoy hanging out with.  He and I have had many discussions re: changing relationships with alcohol and I think we've just agreed to start rotating Tuesdays at each other's home's, with a dinner and a movie night.  That'll be really good for me and I'm looking forward to it.  We both enjoy theatre/movies and cooking and we've promised to start off with just the 2 of us, and never let it get bigger than 4-6 people.

    we're doing a beach wedding in Maryland. Yup, I'll be getting a new dress for it. Not sure if you were referring to my old wedding dress that I wore in 2014? :wink: (I burned it in a bonfire on my 40th birthday/what would have been our wedding anniversary). But yes, for sure this calls for a new, happy, beachy dress. 
    The only reason I’d want a 2nd wedding is for a dress re-do lol

    When SFIL & MIL got married, MIL didn't do a wedding dress, she just did a really nice dress :) 

    Also fuck yes burn that bitchhhh!

    @climbingsingle, yay for planning!  It sounds great.

    @missJeanLouise, that's so exciting your sister is coming to visit!  Has she been there before?

    I was out sick yesterday and caught up on some much needed sleep and decompression time.

    Great spring weather temps, but is supposed to be thunderstorms for most of the weekend.  I'll probably make a big batch of egg salad for Easter.  But, other than that, we don't have any plans.

    Today is my half day because tomorrow is a holiday.  I'm so aggravated, though.  I've been twiddling my thumbs for weeks.  But, oh. Today.  All of a sudden there is urgent work that needs to go out, smh.  Normally, I would be so excited to have something productive to do.  But, of course, when I just wanted to have a chill half day and jet out at 11am, now it's a 4-alarm fire.  I told the engineer it was unlikely to happen, unless I could get OT approved.  Haven't head back from him yet (shrug).
