Prudie Day

How's everyone? Just crazy busy here but this weekend shouldn't be nearly as busy as my last two so looking forward to that!

Re: Prudie Day

  • I'm dragging today. I stayed up later than usual to watch something (VPR and WWHL). I'm also super hungry and totally not into the salad I brought for lunch. Meh. How is it not Friday yet?
  • Well yesterday was something. I don’t know if it’s a full moon or what but security had to be on standby numerous times.
Clawing my way towards the weekend. It’s going to be a busy one with a long drive to see a close friend but I’m happy to see her. Just less happy about the 4 hours RT of driving that day. H is still sick with something. I feel better so hopefully I escaped it? Hopefully I don’t speak too soon.
Otherwise SSDD. I hope everyone is hanging in there today!

  • Busy but as expected to be tbh

Today is actually my friday and I'm so glad lol
Tonight I'm going to Party City - since it's near my work - for last min party stuff.
Tomorrow I'm dropping BK off and going to walmart for fruit/veg trays. I may look around.

At lunch I'm kidnapping M to go get BK a bike at toys r us! I want him to see it, and we're measuring BK tonight to be sure it'll fit her with adjustments.
It also comes with a helmet, so she'll get that early.
I also need to pick up the cakepops we're doing :)

Saturday is her kid bday party. Middle of afternoon, hence why only snacks.

Luckily Sunday and Monday are nothing. Just cleaning.

Also I figure a lot of the stuff we have now will be good for weekend after when we do her actual bday party.
She turns 5 on the 28th - family party on the 27th.
I wanted to have her bike out for her bday, but unless we set something up - we'd never get a good shot of her getting it.

So we're doing with family, that way there's someone taking a photo.
I'm really excited but also emotional lol
  • I'm here.  I'm working.  I'm still feeling pretty blah and my eyes are so watery.  Ugh.  But no meetings and my director is leaving at noon today and she'll be out tomorrow.  I may take a real lunch break and take a nap.

SSDD besides being sad (and whiny) panda.  LOL

    Prudie coming up.

even though I feel like ass, I wasn't missing it.  I loved Ariana's WWHL dress.

Also, Ariana and Scheana's speeches to Tom were the highlights of the show.  Drama schools should take note and assign them as monologues.  LOL
  • @levioosa, I hope you stay well, especially because of the long drive you have.

I found a great property in Ocala.  It's a bit sooner than we want to be buying, but it is unusually good.  On 4 acres!  Most of it already cleared.  Plenty of room to add some RV parking and tiny homes/quonset huts, for additional income.  There is already a large mobile home on the property with renters.  The main house has a pool and is larger than most of the homes we have been looking at.  But substantially less cost than what I've been seeing for similar.

The two problems.  It strongly alludes to being a fixer-upper, but the pictures don't really show that, which makes me suspect there are some major problems with the house.  The sale is "cash only".  Which I don't have.  But I'm hoping/thinking my "hard money" lender will work with me.  They're more for investment properties and do quick closings, so it's like cash from a seller's perspective.  Though that also means their terms are crappier.  However, I think interest rates will improve next year and I'd be looking at a refinance even if I was buying the property with better terms at a more traditional lender.

I'll be doing more investigation today on both the house condition and talking to my lender.  I know it's a long shot (sigh).  But it's just so ripe for potential!  It also has a large attic area that looks like the seller has taken steps to make it usable space, but it's not there yet.  If I finished out the attic, it would add a lot of equity by increasing the square footage of the home.

I forgot it was Prudie day till I came on here.
I have mozza sticks in my lunch order today and it’s probably the highlight of my day.
Why do companies discontinue good products? Oly made a wrinkle and pore reducer that actually worked.  I have 1 more use left of my tube and it’s of course discontinued and I can’t even find it on amazon. All the other blurring primers/serums can’t even come close and I’ve tried SO MANY.  I may rally.  Start a strike outside of the Oly factory.
Edit; nevermind, amazon does have it.  At double the price.  Who has two thumbs and overpaid for a face filler? This girl!

  • I forgot I had an in person meeting this afternoon until I joined my 9am remote meeting so now I’m commuting at mid-day lol it’s so nice and empty on the train!

Completely agree!! She looked so good last night.

I was in awe of how she dragged Tom to hell and back. And Scheana! It was truly amazing to watch. Maybe the best/worst episode of reality TV I have ever seen. I also cried a few times as well.
  • @CharmedPam Olay did that to me a few years ago with an anti-aging cream made for oily skin.  I loved it.  And then one day, poof! gone.  I was searching for it and running into posts made by other irritated consumers, so it's obvious there was a market using it!

I'm in a mood today.  My concentration and focus are kaput and I don't want to talk to anyone.
  • Just finished planting my flower pots and in ground stuff. I'm going to be sore tomorrow because I also had a workout with my trainer.

I have book club tonight. I need to fix the salad for that. Nothing else too exciting going on. Oh we took the pup to his first advanced training class last night. Being on vacation made him forget a lot. We are trying an agility class on Saturday.

@ILoveBeachMusic What book were you reading for book club?  This month mine is reading "Wrong Place Wrong Time".  I'm mixed on it.

Everyone at my work forgot that I'm in training and with a class all.damn.day and kept asking me for meetings and to do stuff.  It miffed me.  I can't be two people!  And tomorrow will be more of the same.  I'm often that person that steps in when someone else is struggling to get stuff done, but I can't do that if I'm essentially working overtime and in a 9.5 hr meeting every day for the week.

Soon, soon the long weekend.  I desperately need time off.

Beach Read by Emilie Henry. It was deeper then the title would indicate. I enjoyed it.

Looks interesting!  I'll recommend to my book club.  We are in a rut of depressing books (though Wrong Place Wrong Time wasn't too bad) so we could use something like this.
