I don't hate Tuesdays as much as I used to, b/c it's a lead-in to my WFH day!! I hadn't been taking those days for the last month. I can tell when I don't. I really enjoy the time out of the office. It's just more peaceful AND I finally get a break from "why do they expect me to wear clothes every.day" moments.
I made myself get up and work out. I hated it, but it's accomplished. I also enjoyed another mocktail last night. I subscribed to a mocktail box called "We Are Raising the Bar". They send enough stuff to make 3 different (and so far tasty) mocktails, at least 4 of each. It's not cheap, but it's a very nice treat. Especially when it's so hot, having something refreshing and tasty is really nice. I got a fancy ginger syrup, a fancy chili-infused honey, a fancy syrup that is basically a high end apple cider vinegar for that alcohol flavor kick/burn, fancy lime juice, 2 NA beers, and 2 club sodas. The main mocktail is a shandy that used the beer, but the other 2 mocktails have been really good as well.
I am seeing a late movie tonight, it's a 9pm showing. I really don't want to, but it's a movie made by and starring transgender folx as part of the Pride month series at the Alamo. There were supposed to be 4 different movies specifically regarding transgender folx. I had written an email of complaint, because at first it looked like our local theatre wasn't getting any of the movies. They did respond back, quickly, and explained the situation. They also asked me to join their committee choosing LGBTQ+ movies throughout the year. I quickly noped out of that one...I've done my service in this city and I'm still not ready to serve again. We got one of the 4 movies (By Hook or By Crook), so I feel like I HAVE to go, because I complained. But also b/c I support art made by marginalized folx in general, and especially from my community, so I would've gone no matter what. I just really wish it was at 7 or earlier instead.
Finally, I think I told y'all I had started Athletic Greens. I really liked it, but couldn't justify $100/month. So, I've been using ensogreens, which is $40/month. It has the same effects as AG (I feel like I have more energy and it's more steady through the day, my skin is glowing, my digestive system is way more regular), but AG tastes a lot better. AG has more of a light pineapple flavor, enso is very, Very, VERY minty. It took me some time to get used to it. I've tried it with milk instead of water and that helps balance the flavor a bit, but I didn't really like it with the milk. But $60 difference isn't worth flavor.
