Wedding dress still not in!!!

I ordered my wedding dress on September 18th of last year, my wedding is in 30 days and every time I call the bridal shop they keep telling me its been shipped. I know dresses can take 6-8 months but its been just under a year and I'm running out of time (30 days till wedding), is this normal??

    Tell them you want the specific tracking.  If it shipped from overseas it could be stuck on a ship but say you want a real tracking number and an estimated delivery date.    If they can't answer you on the phone then show up in person.

    The dress finally came in, but they ordered the wrong color, so I'm pretty much screwed.

    Not necessarily.  If you love the dress and you are basically talking about a cream or off white vs white type of difference, you might be able to make it work well.  However, if we are talking actual "color" difference, and the mistake is clearly theirs, then they stand to lose a sale completely.  See what they have on hand and perhaps you will find something you will equally love.  They need to prioritize your alterations, obviously, but there is still a chance for a good outcome.

    All of this.  Talk to them and make them work with you.  See what they'll do to make the situation right including selling you something off the rack and prioritizing alterations.
