Hi ladies! I have been busy pretty much since the end of June, which is when my graduation party was. This last week was an emotional roller coaster, so I didn't feel like doing much of anything at times. But here is what I've done:
-I finished the favors about 2 weeks ago. They look awesome! One of these days I will have a photo dump of all this stuff.
-I talked with FI's parents and we came up with a design plan for the altar decorations. They have these display things that look like grates. We're going to drape some fabric over them and once I string together my 1000 cranes, they will also be draped on them. FFIL might make an arch if need be. I felt really excited because I had completely forgotten about any altar decor.
-FI and I met with our cake baker yesterday and now I FINALLY have a cake design! I'm really excited about it since I have something I like that is customized to me. Maybe it's silly but I felt like the cake design was one of the biggest weights on me, and now it's been lifted. When I get the sketch, I'll see if I can't share that too.
-Made a ton of progress on the card box. I am making a companion cube from the game Portal. If you are familiar with what it looks like, all I have left to do is make the circles with the hearts on them and paint the pink lines. I might try to make a heart stencil or something, that way all the hearts will look the same.
-FI and I are also working on the music list, and I think we've decided on one reading. Just one more to go!
I have to really get my butt in gear this month, because if all goes well, I may start training for a new job come August 1st, and I will have less time to get things done. Hope all of your planning is going well, ladies!
